I agree with not putting him in that list he has but DLH was overrated for sure. i mean how many big fights did he win? Yes beatingold chavez was big for him. i guess vargas but Vargas was not very good. Mayorga is not a good win, i mean think about it people

the thing is..DLH never got good results "fighting the best". I admire him for fighting them but the fact he usually came out of them with an L is pretty telling.

This is a very biased version of DLH's career and and example of how he is held to a different standard than others like Pac or FLoyd.

Hernandez, Gatti, Ruelas, Carr, Rivera, Camacho, Gonzalez, Rivera, Chavez(2x), Whitaker, Vargas and even Mayorga were "big" fights that DLH won.

DLH still has better wins on his record than either Pac or FLoyd and won more divisions than FLoyd.

DLH was also demolishing the same level of comp that FLoyd went through
ie Gatti, Hernandez, Ruelas, etc) . When was the last time Floyd fought a close to prime #1 PFP fighter?

Does anyone here really believe that Ortiz, Guerrero, Hatton, or 40 yr old Mosley, etc were any better comp than someone like Oba Carr or W. Rivera.

Some of you are erroneously judging DLH's career by simply looking at boxrec results.

Hes stardom is what made fights big. That Mayorga fight was crap. that dude has always sucked. and just cause vargas talked crap about Oscar doesnt mean he was one of the best, Trinidad took Vargas's man hood and was never the same after that.

Im not saying he didnt fight anybody. im saying based on all the hype he got, and losing most of his big fights, hes the most overrated fight i've seen and IMO the last 20 years. If he wasnt so hype he wouldnt be overrated if u get what im saying

Again, for you to keep saying he "lost most of his big fights" is an example of
the ignorant bias I'm talking about.

The Mayorga reference was put there for a reason. Mayorga was past prime "name" fighter and yet was around the same level as most of Floyd's opponents. And yet some of you consider FLoyd a high-ranking ATG based on this.:patsch

If you really think about it without bias FLoyd should be up there on your list
as one of the most overrated fighters of the last 20 yrs.

DLH has loses cause he fought the best. When was the last time FLoyd fought the best?

Actually no imo Arturo Gatti is the most overrated, now that was a gatekeeper and exciting one but how the **** does a gatekeeper get into the HOF is beyond me, he lost to Ward once and got his ass beaten down by Floyd and Oscar, Manfrado also smashed him, everyone loved watching Gatti no doubt one of the most exciting fighters ever but the man was C level at best him being in the HOF is an insult to other HOF fighters and has greatly undermined the achievement of getting into it.

Haye proved to be better than his performance against Thompson. He learned fromn that defeat.
And I Wonder what people who think that Groves was rescued to early against Froch say when or if the Watch the ending af Haye-Thompson ?
Should the referee had ignored the towel and let Haye fight his way back ?
No ! Haye was saved and became a better fighter.
Like Haye - Groves ran out of gas and got rescued.

Haye is not overrated. He is one of the best ever at cruiserweight. As a heavyweight he know his own limits, took the Money and ran away.

But on the subject - I have to agree on Oscar as the most overrated. He was outboxed by Sturm and just gave up against Hopkins. He was exciting to watch, handsome (said my wife) and wellspoken - good for televison. A TV-superstar but not in the terms of boxing.
