I'm good with that .I don't care to see either of those 2 other options . And another titlist give me a break ! No one with any sense wants either of those mismatches no matter what belts they hold .
Golden Boy and Haymon have a good selection of fighters from 140-154... yet Floyd limits us to those 2. Wonder why??? Hmmm... I guess the other guys are afraid of him, that must be it.
Fight fans watch mismatches in large quantities all the time. There were a lot of people that were pissed that the Golovkin vs. Adama wasn't on HBO and Golovkin was an 85/1 favorite. Whoever Mayweather fights, it will do big numbers.
Big numbers yeah I forget that's what really matters to boxings fans ,how to attract as many people as you can to glorified sparring sessions ..Nah not buying..Eventually fans will wake up and not support this crap ..And that GGG fight was not a PPV or billed to be one ..This guys is just staying busy he's not making this fight into a major event .Big diffrence between he and Floyd .
Pretty much every fight Golovkin is in is a mismatch. They're lining up another one for April and he does big viewing numbers. As far as what matters to boxing fans, there's no one answer for that. Many fans just like to complain. If you're one of the people trying to put these fights together though, you're not worried about pleasing everyone(that's impossible), you're worried about putting on good shows that fans in general will tune in to watch.
Mayweather never faces class B fighters :nono Class A fighters: Alpha males in their prime (Mayweather too old for those) Class B fighters: Berto/Broner (those exist to Lionize opponents) Class C fighters: Cats (Old Lions/Young Lions: Perfect Opponents) Class D fighters: Ducklings, (Fighters that are dangerous in their prime or past their prime)
Golovkin will fight Kirkland, Geale or Lee on HBO in April. I think Geale would be the best pick, next to that, Kirkland perhaps, Lee, about the same. I guess Geale, or he could fight all three.................Golovkin will knock all three out, so why doesn't he just fight one, then another the next month, then finally finish up with the last, by that time perhaps he can get Martinez into a ring, Cotto, Quillin, Sturm, etc...........
They are building him up to be a star ..The guy is young and is producing KO's last I checked he doesn't have the time vested as Floyd Mayweather . For a the guy to be called the best "p4p" these type of fights at this stage are an embarrassment ! I am one of those fans that demand better from guys in that position when his previous predecessors set the bar so much higher! If your a fan of the sport we all watch but I do not support this crap it's time for him to stop the cherry picking and fight his closest rival .Plain and simple!
He only doing the whole "let the fans vote" thing so he doesn't receive too much of the backlash for fighting either one of these guys. SMH
