Definitely not an ATG, but yeah, his epic battles with Arturo, the movie, and a few other things put him on my list.

I forgot Liston, and noticed him on cuchalain's list. There are so many you could pick, but I tend to favour punchers. I also like fighters who say "**** you" to the world like Johnson, Holmes and Eubank. I bet there are 50 more we could all list and there is no wrong answer!

I believe that so far its been a boxer/punchers kinda thread. Although I dont personally care for Johnson I agree with you on the hard nosed boxers that werent afraid to speak there mind. HOLMES would have to be at the top of my list for that category. Tyson at the very bottom of the "°use your words" list...I love the guy but I believe we all got tired of Mikes **** real quick.

Johnson isn't on my list for his ability as a fighter as such, more for what he did in an era where lynchings were commonplace. I like Holmes for both his style and attitude. I think he went too far with his comments about RM, but he was under a lot of pressure at the time.

Eubank was another I liked, maybe because I can be a contrary sod! I l liked the quotes he came out with and his rivalry with Benn, a completely straight forward character. I liked Tyson when he burst onto the scene; he was a breath of fresh air at the time. As you say, it all went wrong with Mike!
