The terms seem to be 'options'. No-where was it publicised that he would only be limited to a certain amount on a future fight, if he was worth much more. I don't think Hearn would work like that.

He didn't accept the £1m with options, so he has to either accept about 600k with no options in purse bid, or if Hearn offers him again less than £1m but over 600k with future fights with him and a rematch clause. That's how it seems.

Yeh he could maybe earn more if it goes to purse bids, be interesting to see what these 'options' actually were.

You would have to be naive to think Hearn wouldn't work like that.

Groves has told Hearn what he wants, but Froch insists on the lions share. So unless Hearn can give him an improved offer Groves will go down the purse bid route with his 15%.

So if Groves wins, you think he would still only get 15-25% from Hearn in the rematch of this rematch as per this offer. Who would be delusional enough to think that's what the deal was?

Froch insists on the lionshare because it is the champions entitlement, he's built himself into a big name over the past 10 fights and the IBF guideline is 15% If Groves won he would be entitled to more or at least parity.

Exactly., there is an agenda here to always make Froch look bad on everyone of his threads.

Don't get me wrong Froch can be a w**ker but Groves is not blameless in this.... the offfer is there, if Groves really wants this fight then it can be made.

Who would think that Hearn would offer Groves £1mil (in totality) for 2 fights, no previous to suggest he would do so at all-unless there is some actual proof in which this has been revealed

If Groves had accepted Hearns 'seven figure offer' and then went on to beat Froch then Yes he would only be entitled to what was on the contract for the 3rd fight.
Hence the reason why Groves never entertained it.
Have you never heard the saying "be careful of what you sign for?".

Unless Hearn gives Groves an improved offer, Groves will go down the purse bid route with his 15% to maximise his earnings.
That way Groves (if he wins) can demand what he wants for the 3rd fight, plus be a promotional free agent.

I have already explained this to you.

Youre talking absolute shite on this subject really arent you. You have NO proof Hearns offer was £1mil for 2 fights, none

There is no possibility Hearn could have said Froch gets a mandatory rematch for a negotiable percentage is there...Groves would still turn that down as he doesnt want anyone dictating his future options....

It would be a tragedy to think Hearns options will prevent this great rematch from happening wouldn't it?

Well that's what this place is all about isn't it? I guess all of this below would be your opinion.

Nobody is really denying that Groves was tiring and Froch was coming back into the fight. Some people are denying that that means Froch definitely would have won and will definitely win a rematch.

And if Groves is so worried he shouldn't have asked for a rematch a gazillion times and lodged an appeal etc.

Probably because Groves said there were clauses or conditions he didn't like in the offer (or something like that) so people have come to that conclusion. At the end of the day we don't know all the details of the offer so we can't say if it was a great offer or a terrible one. If Groves wants to hold a grudge (and we don't know if this is the case) then that's his prerogative, the rematch has been ordered.

    What great match ?
According to your superior boxing knowledge, Froch will get a hiding in the rematch.
Your also talking pish about how big this fight is. Froch and Groves are not household names, and are virtually unkown to your man on the street.
How many die hard boxing fans do you think there are in this country ?
