The weight was a non factor. PBF beats JMM at any weight. PBF is a horrible styles match up for JMM and beat him with skill not weight.:deal There's a reason why JMM has never mentioned PBF's name about a rematch but was willing to fight Pac 4 times.:deal

He could be fighting Maidana to make sure Broner don't lose to him again. Remember, he told Broner he should move down to 140.

i agree always felt Broner likes Floyd more than Floyd likes him which makes it worse if your Broner, Broner has talent but he needs to be his own person sometimes its as if Floyd is trying not to hurt his feelings too much but meh maybe Floyd beating Maidana and softing him up could help Broner

i dont think he is talkin him down...i think floyd just keeps it real when asked questions about broners skill...if floyd feels broner should mover and is flat footed at times, he says it...he gives an honest opinion regardless if they are cool or not instead of dyck ridin him and bein a yes man like every one else around him......least thats how i look at it.

That's quite funny because he's the even the greatest in a decade, the same decade he was fighting in .

    More losses.
    He doesn't have more titles.
Resume wise, MAYBE slighltly better only due to morales and barrera wins and even then he lost once to eric..
Doesn't have more honours as far as i'm aware floyd wins this one easily with his olympic medal + more titles + same ring titles in 4 divisions + mannys won 6-7 major titles, floyds won 10.

The only thing in my opinion manny has better than floyd is obviously the 8 weight classes but even then theres flaws in there (ibo title.. ring title.. 150 for a paper title.)

trick question, mayweather isnt an all time great.

that being said of supposed all time greats roy jones jr (who isnt one either) was more reluctant than mayweather.

To be fair he got cheated lol... he won that fight. A judge quit claiming he was sick of working under these circumstances... (apparently some influential bulgarian official was bribing the judges....) The ref even raised floyds hand thinking he'd won... lol. The olympics are corrupt

Mayweather, in his last fight, beat the #1 ranked LMW in the world.

    His natural weight is welterweight.

This was the most difficult fight for him on paper. If Mayweather had gotten banged up in winning the fight, he wouldn't have come in for anything like the criticism he has come in for in totally outclassing the fighter he needed to face to establish a new lineage at the weight.

    Odd sport, this boxing.

When you consider Floyd Mayweather's multi-year stints in Vaudeville, the belts he's thrown in the garbage, the zero-fight amateurs he's given title shots, the fact that he's drawn the Color Line repeatedly against challengers, and his shameless ducking of Harry Wills, there's never been a more duck-happy ATG in history than Floyd.
