I have a question, who is Alex Leapai?

That is the fault of the boxing orgs. He'll also be forced to fight madatories like Povetkin and Haye if Haye can secure a mandatory shot.

Real fans know who the champ is, but casual fans might not. Casual fans should know by now Wlad is champ and if he gets all four belts that will be even more the case.

Couldn't tell you. Blame the WBO. BTW, the WBC apparently is going to make Wilder vs Scott a mandatory fight for the winner of Arreola Stiverne 2.

What has Wilder or Scott done to earn a shot at a mandatory?

No its the publics fault for being duped. But a guy like Wlad legitimizes even a crap belt by keeping it and that is why the casual fan will buy into the next titlist being a champion. These guys need to learn belts don't make champions.

NOTHING!! Which is exactly why none of these orgs should be taken seriously by fans or fighters. That is my point!

Well I agree the orgs suck. All of them.

Leapai is just a battler who has struck gold.
However, if he even lands on Wlad, things could be interesting.
Leapai ain't much of a boxer, but he has heavy hands.

this fight has been common knowledge for quite some time.

leapai is ranked no.1 contender, not 30. don't know where u pulled that from.

    Pulev will be mandatory next.................

Wilder is ranked #3 WBC, Scott was knocked out by Chisora, yet they get to fight for WBC title next?!

He pulled it from Box Rec. I'm not saying Box Rec is perfect but Leapai is now #29 after beating Boytsov and that is not impressive at all.

I suppose you are too young or not smart enough to recall the days of Joe Louis' "Bum of the Month" routine. Sometimes, there isn't anyone left. By the way, I am sure you were one of the ones jumping on the Haye train prior to his fight with Wlad....:rofl:rofl:rofl

Champs have fought bums at various points in their careers all through history. Wlad has fought and beaten quality challengers also, and he will fight more in the future, his career is not over yet. It doesn't help that all the so called legit challengers keep saying they are not ready to fight him.

Crap fight, but Leapai beat the manufactured #1 and became the #1. Bull of course, but people should stop blaming it on the "era".

It has always happened troughout history, and with much worse opponents as Leapai.
Take Bowe vs Ferguson for example, in wich the shot was supposed to go to Ray Mercer but he lost to a journeyman.

He's a cab driver who Wlad is fighting soon. Wlad wants no part of real contenders like Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, because they're too big and skillful.

well that's pretty silly then. that is a pointless ranking.

the problem is that there r few others that have a better chance. wlad just too good.

alex will win by ko. that will upset the **** cart then.

haha, only in this era would you be able to coin the phrase 'hes no corrie sanders'.
only today has a 38 year old retired perennial non contender journeyman only fit to fight 5 rounds become the benchmark for a hw title defence, and a failed one at that. any other era, he wouldn't blip on the radar.

    K2 have ruined HW boxing.

so Lepai is about right for the K2 era, some unknown journeyman who would never amount to anything in a regular era.
