I find this talk of Khan posing a bigger threat due to his hand speed unconvincing. Khan will have to win 7 rounds to win. Even if he somehow managed to do this Mayweather could walk him down and shatter his glass chin. Madiana, on the other hand, has power. We've seen fighters with good chins get put to sleep with 1 humdinger in the past. Also, Guerrero won 3 rounds against Floyd according to the judges. If Maidana did that and knocked Floyd down twice he would win. I'd say both of those scenarios are more likely than Khan winning 7 rounds and not being knocked out thereafter.
I hear what you're saying, but I don't agree amir khan can give Floyd some grief with speed, but a maidana fight doesn't interest me a whole lot pacquiao is the only Floyd fight I really want to see (we all do), and you better believe Floyd is just waiting to put that one to bed (in his mind) if Bradley beats pacman
Speed is only of use if its effective, Khans pitter patter flurries with average footowrk will not trouble Floyd in the slightest, the only interest will be does Floyd win by KO or points... Maidana will at least be robust and has earned the shot, yes Floyd wins a UD but Maidana deserves the opportunity for improving over the years and beating the men in front of him, convincingly too, in recent years. Khan hasnt done this.

Even though it's a bonus, it doesn't really matter much to casuals what win the opponent is coming off. As long as he's famous enough, which Khan is, and is fighting another extremely famous fighter casuals will buy and tune in. Don't take Mayweather's trash talking seriously otherwise you will **** yourself off when it's not worth it. Just take a look at his list of demands whenever Pacquiao's name is mentioned and laugh out loud.

Surely nobody believes that Mayweather will do what the fans call want?? Mayweather will fight whoever gives him the most $$$, that is the only factor that will be taken into account.
