The ones that I recall are the following in not such a special order:

    1. Floyd Mayweather VS Manny Pacquou. Big duck by Mayweather probably being carried out due to fear of losing. Way it looks to me Mayweather can't remove the stain from his career by facing Manny right now since Manny lost by Ko against that mexican fellow.

    2. Roy Jones Jr VS Dariuz Michaelsewski. The most intelligent duck in history. Why bother paying Dariuz a big purse and knocking him out when ducking the crap out of him generated alot more attention and thereby probably much higher figures down the line. Way I see it this is a very forgivable duck that's been forgiven by history.

    3. Riddick Bowe VS Lennox Lewis. Bowe suffered that Ko at them Olympics and had some issues in his head and such and simply didn't want none of Lewis.

    4. Larry Holmes VS George Foreman. Looks like Holmes was always willing to make this one while Foreman was only willing to do it for much more than anyone was willing to put on the table.

    5. Ricky "Shitty Hatton VS Junior Witter. Why not finish off your crosstown rival if you're really all that great? Hatton was just a punk who fought dirty, he would have fallen prey to the far more skilled Witter.

    6. Floyd Mayweather JR VS Shane Mosley. Shane Mosley was a great lightweight champion, so good in fact that people weren't exactly dying to fight him. Shane however wanted to increase his fame so he offered a highly regarded Junior Lightweight champion a shot at his title and that champion was Floyd Mayweather. Floyd turned down Shane's offer claiming that he simply "wasn't ready". Shane being determined to increase his fame shortly afterwards started negotiations with Oscar De La Hoya for a fight at Welterweight. As soon as the negotiations between Shane Mosley and Oscar De La Hoya started little Floyd Mayweather and his dad started calling out Shane Mosley as if there was no tomorrow and when it was announced that the contracts for Shane VS Oscar had been signed little Floyd and his daddy started crying all over the place that Shane was ducking Floyd. Very shamefull stuff right there. When Floyd Mayweather himself earned a championship at welterweight he however decided not to fight Shane Mosley straight away instead opting to wait for Shane to age three more years before having the fight take place.

    7. Ricky Hatton VS Oscar De La Hoya. Oscar De La Hoya wanted to get back into the win column after fighting VS Floyd Mayweather and what better way to achieve that goal than to take on the underskilled Britt. Make no mistake about it, Floyd Mayweather was by no means a bigger money fight for Ricky Hatton than Oscar De La Hoya would have been but Hatton knew it, he'd lose to Oscar De La Hoya and his silly pride didn't allow him to take a loss vs the old man so he opted to lose vs Floyd Mayweather instead for a smaller purse. After getting done with Steve Forbes and having seen Ricky lose pathetically VS Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya was even more excited about the prospect of making Hatton his *****.... sadly Hatton wasn't as fond as Oscar was of that idea.

    8. Lou Savarese VS Shannon Briggs. Shannon was pretty limited, not that Lou wasn't alos but for some reason Shannon wasn't too sure that he'd defeat Lou Savarese so he opted to avoid his schedualed fights VS Lou.

    9. Klitschkos ducking Holyfield. Holyfield would have been a great name to add to that win column for either Klitscko but sadly the Klitsckoh's knew that Holyfield was all wrong for them stylistically wise so speaking of Holyfields age and attempting to look merciful was a far more intelligent path to travel.

    10. Klitscko's VS Valuev. Defeating the biggest boxer of all times who's also a reigning and defending WBA champion? That's not an accomplishment is it? The Klitsckoh's were scared and knew that Valuev was all wrong for them, not enough rewards for such a big risk. Fighting hopeless and smaller Mariuz Wach is cool though cause after all, he's so big and undefeated and he can't be knocked out and all that right?

    11. Mike Tyson VS George Foreman. Fighting George Foreman would certainly have made financial sense for Mike Tyson, the question is if Mike Tyson genuinely believed that George Foreman was stylistically all wrong for him.... I'm kind of leaning towards that being the truth but I'm not too sure about this one.

I'm sure I could mention more or go more into details regarding each and every one but this is enough for now. Perhaps someday I'll redo this thread and base it some on replies to this one.

Please mention more examples of Duxing if you remember any.

if #3 is bowe ducking lewis...lewis ducking ruiz and byrd has to be 3a. and 3b. he vacated and chose to fight a much greener/easier opponent in michael grant instead of ruiz who was a former stable mate who steward said lewis could never look good against.

I'm sorry. You have no idea what you're talking about.

At no point in time did neither Jhonny Ruiz or Chris Byrd call Lennox Lewis out. Lewis knew that he wouldn't get any credit for defeating either fighter, he also knew that he wouldn't make any money from those bouts and neither of those belt holders were calling him out, no they were just comfortable holding onto those belts, having everyone know that they were paperchamps and getting paid for bogus title defenses.

I remember everything about the matter thank you very much.

Henry Akinwande was his mandatory following Lennox Lewis VS Evander Holyfield II. Henry Akinwande however had his hepetitis C or whatever it was and was therefor not an eligible mandatory challenger so they installed Johnny Ruiz into the number one slot instead. Johnny Ruiz had at that point in his career not done a damn thing to deserve a fight VS Lennox Lewis unless you think that two decision losses and a Ko loss are accomplishments.

You should call yourself Duhhhprofessor instead of daprofessor.

i dont think we all have the same opinions on what a "duck" truly is. if someone calling certian fighter out and the fight doesnt happen then some on claim that for as a duck, phukin ignorance man.

a duck is when someone refuses to fight their mandatory and is stripped if the belt, thats the only way i see a duck being labeled.. some are for good reason, end of career and there is a better, bigger more paying fight out there which is the case with LL vs ruiz and byrd. from my perspective

bowe duckinh LL was a true duck and he didnt give a crap.

its laughable when some clowns on here claim (on OP list) that mayweather ducking" paq is top couple. LMFAO. they call it a duck and all they truly have is in 2014 paq challenged floyd to a charity fight, not lying thats all they have to claim anything. even more sad totally ignorant is they refuse to accept facts as FACTS. they know damn well foyd gave paq the best offer ANY challenger in the history of the sport had ever received and walked away from it.

i feel really bad for said people because floyd makes a point to mock his haters and they take him mocking them as true feelings. only thing that makes sense is they are too common sense dumb to pick up on the mocking, common sense never mind how book dumb they have to be..

i would love to hear what the conditions should be for one to consider said fighter ducking another. its NOT being called out because that would mean ever great fighter in history and every box office draw has ducked hundreds of not thousands of fighters

I think it unfair to say that Bowe ducked Lewis. It was more a balls up between Don King, Rock Newman, Frank Maloney and the WBC.

so you know that ruiz was his mandatory and you know that lennox chose to vacate instead of fight him but you don't consider that a duck? how is that different from the situation with bowe? what great victory did lewis have that made him the obvious choice for bowe to face??? bowe beat holyfield in much more convincing fashion than lewis while lewis got ktfo'd by oliver mccall.

    you should call yourself goodolcoksucker.

Floyd ducking PAC is huge. It's te equivalent on Leonard ducking Duran or Hearns. It's a scandal.

    floyd ducking pac is bull****.

it's pac who first made the outrageous demand of $10mil per pound for every pound floyd would be over the 147 limit. that was ridiculous considering floyd never missed 147.

it's pac that left the negotiating table when floyd countered with osdt.

it's pac who demanded 50/50 when floyd offered him $40 mil.

what about arum's bull**** about building a stadium for the fight???

this whole floyd avoiding pac thing illustrates how easily the public can be duped.

what has pac ever offered floyd? the charity fight is a bull**** attempt to save face.

    Mayweather vs Pacman
    Bowe vs Lewis
    Hatton vs Witter
3 biggest ducks ever in my opinion
