For me they're the same level or at least when they fought the first time. I remember not many backing Bellew before hand. His performances wasn't inspiring confidence but he produced a excellent display considering the lack of experience compared to Cleverly who had ventured into European and Fringe level (debatable). I don't think many thought Bellew could outbox Nathan the way he did, On the night his boxing was better then Nathan's. IMO as Slip and Counter once said on here and i echo same sentiments, Tony's shoulders wore down and his boxing unravelled in later rounds (Nathan seized upon that with his better engine at the time) but i had it a draw. I'd go to a rematch, Be a quality fight between the two.
For the life of me I can't understand why Bellew is still a gobshite, he has absolutely no right. He had the chance to deal with cleverly and guess what? after all the talk he couldn't. He then shouted from the rooftops about what he'd do to chilemba and guess what? He did **** all, snore fest. Then had the neck to do it again, telling us all he was gonna prove everyone wrong, Adonis was a bully and a midget, the little weigh in scuffle, and guess what? Boxed like a scared rabbit in the headlights before being dealt with. Ridiculous the sooner he realises he's a decent euro level fighter and nothing more the sooner he will stop bleating on. Sadly for him that'll be the time fast car ****s him off.
Clev was initially very dismissive of him as a potential opponent and I think Bellew was a bit sick of the preferential back given to him by fish eyes. He used to post on here on the reg until a load of bellends hounded him away, he would have told you himself, its what made him likeable. But like many other fighters who took time to interact with fans on here, the nobs have chased them off and are doing a job of it on twitter now too! Would love to see the fight again but I dont think Clev has the heart to get back to the level again. If they stepped in again anytime soon I think Bomber could do some damage to him.
