Maidana - Broner II is not an undercard fight.

But using that logic in the post above, Mayweather would be facing Garcia's leftovers.

    Indeed.

Seems like all there is for the dude is leftovers !

However, we can say with a fair degree of certainty that Khan would provide a more interesting challenge to Floyd than Maidana.

I say this as a fan of both possible opponents.

If I wasn't an atheist, I would have given praise and thanks to God every night for a year after Maidana ass-raped Broner.

But I believe Khan to be one of the few who is actually faster than Floyd and the lad has some skills, so I while I would expect Floyd to beat both, I would be MORE surprised if Marcos were to pull it off.

The "ask the fans" routine is Floyd's way of switching to a safer opponent.

You could also say Khan has looked less than stellar in his last 6 whilst Maidana hasnt

Khan - TD againt Paul McCloskey, Low blow tko against Judah, Loss to Lamont Peterson, TKO Loss to Garcia, RTD against Molina and the close win against Julio Diaz

Maidana - KO 4 Petr Petrov, UD loss to Alexander, TKO Soto Karass, KO 3 Martinez, TKO Lopez, Upset UD Broner

It's a Mayweather undercard. if Garcia/Matthysse can go on a Mayweather Card so can this fight. It will probably earn than more viewers and money than if they were the main event.

Broner didnt have rematch clause. Haymon just came in and started throwing his weight around. Now parties involved pretend there was rematch clause. Schaeffer would not have made a mistake of that sort, saying there was no rematch clause if there was one.

Meh. I reckon they would know giving Broner any more special treatment will be detrimental at this point. If he were to lose again, his career is over. Maidana gave all indications he could do it again. Matter of fact, he even had somwhat bad luck in the first fight. Broner had a very favorable ref as well.

Floyd should fight Garcia at 140 and get that lineal championship, too. That would be a better fight than what's being offered.
