I don't have a problem with this. It's a decent match up that's winner will provide a respectable challenge for the new WBC titlist. People seem to forget that Scott was embarrassingly fcked over by the Brit officials while schooling Dereck Chisora. Not to mention he arguably beat Glazkov as well.
I know its not right, but i also dont have a massive problem with it. People keep crying about how Wilder is only facing tin cans........... He is facing a semi decent oppenent in Scott, and will be facing another decent opponent if he wins this fight. People get promtions and jobs that others in their line of work deserve more than them, and this is no different. Its a part of life so get over it.
When is Wilder-Scott? Scott hasn't beaten anyone to be considered a decent operator. He's beat up on cans himself. Wilder is going to KO him. Then the hype train will explode. (I'm looking forward to this fight though!) Is Perez-Jennings for the vacant title?
I thought the winner of a possible Jennings-Perez match would get the mandatory against Stiverne (Arreola doesn't stand a chance in the rematch). Golden Boy obviously beat Jennings/Shaw to the punch when it came to greasing the WBC's collective palms.
i knew all this was going to happen. i said it would. you could see it coming from a mile off. look for more Americans being made "Mandatory" out of absolutely nowhere. no one else is going to get a look in for some time. they'll make sure of it.
im not one for this corruption for the americans. but, if you look at the wbc, they got more champions who are mexican than any one else
Lots of whiners...Whats the problem :huh Wilder has to win vs 38-1 Scott, if he wins he faces Stiverne for the WBC, if he wins he faces Wladimir for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship We can finally get the first Undisputed Heavyweight Champion since Lennox Lewis :boxer
True, the Mexicans come first. but after that it's the Yanks. look at how many Americans get shots at ALL titles when they haven't proven anything. even over more proven fighters who are the Mandatory. it's been going on for years. and it's utter Bull****.
Fury must be pissed..... never ever burn bridges... you never know when it will come back and BITE you in the ass
So this is who we have surrounding the WBC title Arreola : Has never beat a legitimate heavyweight contender Stiverne : Has one credit, that he beat the **** out of Arreola. Probably the only guy of the bunch that should be even close to the belt Scott : Lost his last fight Wilder : Has never fought a top 10 fighter, let alone beat one That being said, regardless of the context.... its nice that names are actually going to be facing eachother.
It's **** no one can disagree BUT!!! It's certainly better than the weak ass British champs who get handed the WBO belt first than see if they are worthy second. At least they will actually have to fight for it.
