Khan is not world-class - not at the moment and probably never again. He beat Diaz by the skin of his teeth and was wobbling around all over the place. Khan isn't fit to fight Thurman or Provodnikov. I don't even know if he is read for a rematch with a clean Peterson.

Maidana is an acceptable opponent, however.

Manny is significantly naturally smaller than Floyd which might be why the fights deemed acceptable for Manny were deemed inacceptable for Manny. Although, if I remember correctly, Manny got a lot of criticism for fighting Rios, so I think you are probably exaggerating on the other points too. GGG has a lot of fans because he has an exciting style, but he gets loads of criticism also.

He's fighting in his 7th division. Let's see how many knock outs Floyd gets when he fights at his (168 lbs).

 

The people who have a problem with the Maidana fight are clueless. A WW champ fighting another WW champ is a good fight, both are on form. Khan however is a **** fight based on recent form and Khan;s lack of activity and fights at 147.

There are basic standards for prospects, contenders, titlists, ranked mainstays, etc... and then there is the criteria for the ATG's of the era. Floyd and Manny are that, so it is not unrealistic to hold them to the high standards. They have set that themselves by anointing themselves as great.

 

It wasn't when it was offered. Maybe now, but when Pacquiao was generally ranked p4p#1 Pacquiao's 55-45 offer was reasonable.

 

65-35 seems fair. Nothing more in favor of Floyd than 70-30 probably. And certainly nothing closer than 60-40.
