which one would you rather have?

    - i would rather have a granite chin but have feather-fisted punches

    or

    - i would rather have 1 punch ko power even if ive got a glass jaw

    Granite chin.

With a good chin and solid fundamentals you can beat most fighters.

Everybody gets caught though. Even Floyd. If you have a bad chin you will be found out.

David Tua, a perfect example of a specimen who possessed both attributes to the highest order.

No i know, i was trying to think of extreme examples of each category, styles etc can alter the whole question cant they really, i mean look at Khan, glass chin but world titlist-without 1 punch KO power.

I honestly think I'd take the one punch power, I could try to work on defensive skills to mitigate the chances of getting caught. Hell Look at Wilder if the speculation about his weak chin is true he's still in line to make a ton of money before he gets exposed

In the long term I might have a longer career with a granite chin but chances are I'd take more punishment and I'd rather make my money maybe become a 1 time champ and still have my mental faculties when I retire....

KO power. I'd rather be known for scoring knockouts rather then being able to absorb repeated blows to the head. You would always have that equalizer even if you were losing a fight. What is a feather fisted fighter gonna do if he's been figured out and down big on the cards?

I picked KO power not for the highlight reel knockouts but because having a granite chin is a mixed blessing. I would choose not to have a career that was possibly filled with sustained beatings and taking hundreds of powerful shots to the head.
