Gary Russell Jr gets winner of Salido-Lomachenko

Winner has to fight GRJ within 75 days or be stripped by the WBO.

I dont know how Russell became the #1 contender fighting cupcakes but hey if he gets his shot then lets see what happens. boy got talent thats for sure.

This could end the cold war this year. GBP has Russell, TR has Saildo-Lomachenko so lets see if the deal gets ironed out. WBO says they could care less and will strip the winner by May 15th if they dont fight GRJ.

So this could be a blessing guys! Will Crooked Arum actually put up his new possibly money maker that would be 2-0 with a title against the talented GRJ?? this is gonna tell alot for the whole year between these too.

as for the fight. Yes GRJ hasnt fought anybody in 24 fights but No way in hell Salido beats him. and i would have to lean towards him against the Lamancheko too. :bbb:bbb

That would be one of my top fights to watch all year. and sine WBO wants it in 75 days im starting to think will it be on a May 3rd undercard or even Pac-bradley. i know different promotions but we shall see. Lara-Vanes was something like that. purse bid and put on a GB card

 

The fight is not gonna happen and Russell Jr will fight for the "vacant" title against his usual comp. :deal

 

Nobodies dropping a title it will go to purse bid and they'll fight.

I'm not even that sold on Lomachenko and think Russell has the ability to beat him, but damn it makes me mad that he's getting this shot without having to prove it. Then again Loma only has one fight so what am I saying?
