Lara is too risky for Mayweather. It's going to be Maidana or Khan.

Lara has yet to headline so much as an ESPN card. If Mayweather were to fight him, he'd get paid his minimum. Lara is a pretty good fighter and they fight would have to take place at JMW which is outside of Mayweather's optimal weight. Essentially, you would be asking him to take on more risk for a lesser reward.

To put this in perspective, let's look at Golovkin. Let's say he was offered two choices. He could either fight Peter Quillin at MW for $6MM, or he could fight Andre Ward at SMW for $4MM. Is there any doubt that he would chose Quillin under those circumstances 100 out of 100 times? Of course he would, it's a no brainer that anyone would make.

So why exactly are we asking Mayweather to do something that anyone who is thinking straight would ever do?

Mayweather holds a belt at 154 the WBA Lara is number 1 mandatory for the title typical mayweather he'll probably duck Lara like he ducked Pacquiao for years!

You didn't even bother to address any of the points that I made. Instead, you simply rattled off the same Mayweather digs that everyone resorts to.

Then dont call him the best if he doesn't fight the best, you brainwashed fans will argue its a bussiness and he doesn't have to fight this guy that guy is more known, but he avoids the best fighters and you'll call him the best lol

When is the last time Khan had a impressive win? Neither opponent will beat Floyd so he might as well choose the one that will bring in the most money. In that poll Maidana is the overwhelming favorite so what more is there to do. When Khan gets some meaningful wins again then we can talk about a possible fight.

Mayweather's going to fight whoever's best for business. At this point, he doesn't care about what the fans think. He's a prize fighter. He'll fight whoever makes him more money. He's been in with De La Hoya, Hatton, Judah, and many others who were highly ranked in their time. It's all about the MONEY at this stage in his career, and I don't blame him. I would prefer Maidana, but it'll probably be Khan. As long as there's a great undercard, I'll definitely watch the event!

I think mayweather will vacate the title tbh but lara is number 1 ranked with the WBA and is in line next

Floyd doesn't fight no names at 154 lbs. He only goes up to that division for big money fights. Del la hoya, Cotto and Canelo.

Lara doesn't fit the business model. No fan base. No casual fans interest.

Khan beating Mayweather to me would be a bigger upset than Tyson Douglas and Lewis Rahman combined.
I don't even want to think about that...
Mayweather losing his 0 to... Amir Khan???
    No, just no.

Lara is probably the most deserving currently at JMW seeing as Alvarez just got beat, but between JWW/JMW its fighters like Midana, Garcia ect..who have done more recently as well as career wise that are over him. Lara is a decent fighter but boring as hell I gotta see how Alvarez looks in March but if Angulo can give Lara hell I'm sure Alvarez beats him.

Lara is a decent boxer but he basically has one style which imo is runaway throwing pitty pat shots to lure you to sleep then hope to sneak something big in late, its effective if you don't know how to deal with it. Physically there's not much difference in it height 5'8 (FM) 5'9 (EL) reach 72(FM) 73(EL). Speed I'll say about even but considering Mayweather is 37 an Lara is in his prime the fact that they have about the same speed is an advantage for Mayweather.

Stylistically they say guys like Lara/Rigo fight like Mayweather they really don't 60/70% of a Mayweather fight is him in the pocket slipping/blocking shots and countering on the inside to mid range area. 90% of a Lara fight is spent on the outside backing up with a few shots here or there. For all the talk about how Mayweather fights its really only about 5/6 fights total in his career where he's opted to move more in most of Mayweathers biggests fights he's showed out and dominated it may not end in KO but he has put on shows.

Most fighters fight Lara and end up expending themselves trying to make the fight Lara I couldn't tell you how hard he hits but he doesn't not consistently throw hard shots he does sneak some in and manages to drop/stop a couple fighters late which could make things interesting in the later rounds but Lara only has two good fights the robbery loss to an overrated P.Will (still left with a knot the size of a baseball on his face) his war with Angulo (if he beats Alvarez I'll change my stance but who the hell is that) so his defense isn't all that. People also fail to factor in his lack of proven elite comp he has good/decent comp but he has yet to face an upper echolon fighter, i mean Mayweather won his first title against G.Hernandez an arguable ATG at SFW and has been fighing on that level or better consistently since Lara won his first interim title recently vs Angulo and almost lost doing so when the pressure gets turned up he may end up looking more lost than Baldomir so to speak.

If Mayweather fights at JMW I'd rather Molina get the fight he's arguably beat Lara and is currently a Title Holder and not an Interim Titlist. As far as in General Mayweather-Midana(WBA WW Champ), Garcia(P4P Undisputed JWW Champ), Porter(IBF WW Champ) possible fights as well as Bradley-Pacquiao II winner (P4P WBO WW Champ) & Martinez-Cotto winner (P4P Undisputed MW Champ) are all as/more deserving of a fight than Lara and all are more entertaining fights as well as.

I won't complain if they fight I think Lara might be a mando to the WBA JMW title but we know Mayweather only cares about WBC really but if they do I will catch the replay or stream total snoozefest as far as major championship fights against #1/2 fighters G.Hernandez, Corrales, Casstillo I/II, Gatti, Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto, & Alvarez were all entertaining fights only Baldomir, Hoya* were somewhat bad.

People really need to stop hating on Midana though if he lands the fight so what if he lost to Kahn/Alexander Lara arguably lost to Molina(got a draw). Kahn is scared to fight Midana again and Alexander-Midana II is a 50/50 fight Midana is currently higher ranked and more established than both.

Midana is more experienced has fought a higher level of competition and has the better recent win then Lara, he'll come to put up more of a fight than Lara and will be a more entertaining fight in a unification further solidifying titles and creating a new WW lineage.

or not anyone in their prime with real threat of beating up pedjr.

noticed he didnt rematch dela hoya when it could double the ppv buys and weight class at 147.

pedjr like to use the money excuse to duck risky fights.

154 only works when you are either,

coke sniffing, cross dressing, part time promoter,
    double damaged goods,
a drained nobody with stamina issues at the limit.:deal
