Mexican boxer Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez has signed a global endorsement contract with equipment brand Everlast.

The former WBA and WBC light middleweight champion, ranked 32nd in SportsPro’s 2013 list of the world’s most marketable athletes, has agreed a multi-year deal to wear the brand’s gloves in fights and train with its equipment.

Everlast, which recently constructed Alvarez’s personal gym in Southern California, will also use the 23-year-old in its global consumer and retail marketing initiatives.

    They don't make gloves/boxing equipment

He's probably signed to a clothing deal with UA and a gloves, pads, boots etc deal with Everlast

That is pretty impressive, he is right behind Pac (#31) on the most marketable athletes list

The only 2 boxers on the list.

    Props!

Mayweather (in)famously doesn't have any personal endorsements. Is it really any wonder though? I mean, who wants a woman beating, child grooming, conman to endorse their products?
