ESPN2 FNF: Roberto Garcia vs. Norberto Gonzalez & Kamil Laczszyk vs. Daniel Diaz RBR

Round 1

Laczszyk is moving side to side, tossing high jabs. Diaz is ducking the jabs and moving in close with long left hooks. Right hand on the body by Laczszyk. Diaz is jabbing the body and covering up on the outside. Right hand lead by Laczszyk, snapping Diaz's head back. Jabs on the body by Diaz moving in and out with his long arms folded up. Flush right hand by Diaz; counter 1-2 landing for Laczszyk, knocking Diaz back off balance. He tries reaching behind himself to grab the ropes but falls on his butt.

Round 2

Laczszyk is pumping his jab at Diaz and circling wide to his left. Diaz is lining up right hands down the pipe, snapping Laczszyk's head back with it but landing fewer and further between. Diaz fires long jabs and right hands at the circling Laczszyk and steps closer with a left hook on the cheek. Diaz is scoring better with power shots, but Laczszyk is very busy with the jab and constantly orbiting Diaz to get a superior angle on him.

Teddy is such a hater.

 

Kamil Laczszyk's nickname is "Schtorek" (that's going by Joe Tessitore's pronunciation attempt) which translates into "The Rat".

Teddy Atlas is complaining about how little he likes it, saying he much prefers Diaz's "El General", which stems from having served in the Nicaraguan military.

 

Round 3

Laczszyk is throwing his jab into Diaz's guard and then squatting down and placing a right hand on the belt line. When they close together Laczszyk dives in and grabs Diaz around the middle, grinding his skull into Diaz's chest and then up into his mandible. No warning from the ref. Hooks by Diaz catching Laczszyk on the way out. Light set-up jabs on the arms by Laczszyk, right hand on the body. Uppercut by Diaz. Right hand by Diaz.

Teddy Atlas is not a fan of the Polaks

 

He probably wasn't a general though. I think there's about as much chance as Laczszyk is an actual rat.

 

I can't imagine "The Rat" being a good nickname in any language/culture

 

Round 4

Laczszyk is holding both arms up stiffly, doubling his jab in on Diaz or diving in without the jab to hold depending on proximity. Diaz is feeding his own long jab out to get Laczszyk ducking and then dropping the right hand on his face. Laczszyk stunned and sent scurrying out in a crouch. Right hand across the side of the head by Diaz. Uppercut by Laczszyk after tapping a few jabs off Diaz's arms. Laczszyk tries reaching with some body shots but Diaz is coming forward, jabbing until Laczszyk dives in again.

The nickname doesn't sound as harsh and dirty in the Polish language as it does translated to English.

 

The male ones have huge balls too. Literally. Big ol' nuts.
