Where has anyone complained about Smoger in the Froch fight, because I haven't seen 1 post complaining about it. IMO Smoger did an exemplary job (this is coming from a Brit.)
the ref job for the Froch-Dirrell fight was pathetic. froch lost and was helped through the fight, froch ward there was not a thing wrong. fanboys need something to cling in to, he got owned,
Ward/Kessler.................Ward's referee believed that illegal head butt if legal, but only if his boxer Ward did the butting.............
Ward/Froch was a close fight. I think Ward looked more composed which often fools people, but watching the fight a few times, saw a close fight. It was not a schooling that some would like to think it was. There were many close rounds. I thought Ward won a close decision. As for hometown. No but Ward was the home fighter in his own country. It would be the same if say Pirog were to face Martinez in Russia, even if it was at the furthest corner away from which ever part of Russia he came from. He would be the home fighter. Froch, Kessler 2, was hours away from where Froch lives, but Froch was the home fighter. Not sure what you are trying to gain from that. I think Ward had things very favourable in that in the S6, he was the home fighter in all of his fights, whilst Froch fought every original member of the S6, one after the other and was only at home once. I think what added to it after was that Froch then fought Bute who Ward didnt face. I think Froch was possibly a bit out of sorts with the constant being away and lets not forget that none of the home fighters lost in the S6. I expect Wards team had seen how American and American based SMWs dont do well in big fights when they enter Europe. I have not known anyone complain about the ref in either fight. Though was shocked that Kessler was told about head use when he fought Ward. This is an old score card, but I ended up seeing it slightly differently on a later look and scoring 115/113 to Ward Froch/Ward 1st round even 10/10 2nd ward but not a big clear round 20/19 3rd Ward 30/28 4th Ward clear round with alot of holding and leaning 40/37 5th Ward 50/46. Good finish from Froch but Ward had won clearly for the rest of the round 6th pretty even shaded for Froch 59/56 7th Ward 69/65 8th Ward 79/74 9th Froch 88/84 10th Ward close 98/93 11th Froch 107/103 12th Froch 116/113 This old scorecard had it 116/113 to Ward Too many scored rounds for someone just laying on someone along the ropes.
another quality post agreed with it all bailey wtf is going on as i seem to be agreeing with you alot of late
Thank you Ash. I guess you are reading my posts rather than what the hate filled nuthuggers try and twist, to suit their rose tinted glasses agenda Dont worry about HoldMyBeer, he has been schooled by me several times and has held a bit of a grudge for me having an answer for every one of his counter parts. HoldMyBeer - A question to you, if you dont mind? You dont have to answer. The question - Why do you seem so anti when discussing view points with other posters and their opinions? Maybe you can only see your own point of view, but even when facts are put to you, you seem very much in denial. Why is this? As said you dont have to answer Edit As noted here, someone said they agreed with a post and because you have been placed in denial before, you just made a comment to them, but probably havent read the post I posted
Ward totally outclassed Froch...the ref was not a big factor. Dirrell outboxed Froch and the ref let a frustrated Froch get away with rabbit punching and rough house tactics.
Do you not think that Dirrell was holding alot which caused rabbit punching and possibly ducking below the waist which is also not in the rules and can cause rabbit punching?
Yes. Dirrell was holding a bit too much and ducking low. But, Froch's reaction to it was brazen and it was clear it was done out of frustration, rather than in the act of trying to land a clean punch.
Dirrell/Froch was reffed horribly for both fighters. The Ward/Froch judging was absolutely horrible... The reffing was fine. People generally cite Ward/Kessler as the "dirty fight of Ward's career."
