He got close to getting a Mayweather Payday. May as well wait a little while to see if he can get it. If he retires before december he will still be retired at 27.
Don't see khan retiring at all. If he does what he gonna do with his life especially in his prime sporting and non sporting years?
I don't know the guy so I don't know if he will retire or what he would do but as you said he's mentioned retiring around this age for a long time so I would assume he has plans for what he would/will do. He could fight on though, there are still good fights to be made. If he doesn't get the Floyd fight there are other guys out there, Maidana wants a rematch, Brook wants him and I think pretty much anyone at 147 would be willing to fight him. If he does get the Floyd fight and is more competitive than guys like Canelo/Guerrero/Marquez then that could lead to other big fights. He has options as long as he doesn't get KO'd again soon.
so where when did khan stand up to wards heavy punches , ward is disputing khans claims , never believed a word khan as said simply a lying toss pot that really as no shame. anyone remember the i was only doing about 32 in a 30 zone - no amir i have the paper work here it was 49 , the i beat kell brook in sparring , the i beat up john murray up in sparring so there is no need for that fight , constant lying is a medical condition
Can't help but have the opinion that Kell is a hype job, flatters to deceive for me. Footwork is average, punch power is exaggerated and his speed is nowhere near khans. Khan despite his defeats has fought some of the best out there and barring Garcia has looked a class above.
I reckon he will leave either this year or next year.Very much looks to me like he only wants the Mayweather fight.Hes a married man now,not saying he's being pressured but he could be.If he doesn't get Floyd I could just about see him being tempted into a Brook fight but no way could I see him rematching Garcia or Maidana or taking a Broner fight.I could see him taking an easy tuneup before the fighting Brook, then finishing.
