    Shut up you idiot.

How was a calculated punch lucky? :tired

Garcia was already starting to impose his will on Matthysse starting from the middle of r4.

His power/size was getting to Matthysse. You knew he was making Matthysse more and more gunshy.

    Garcia is the better fighter.

They were both fighting dirty. The ref didn't cheat anyone.

He took a point from Garcia in the 12th

You talk as if Matthysse does not have a history of rabbit punching. He was doing that to Garcia too.

    Puta mierda:twisted:

The rematch is still one of the best fights that can be made around that weight.

Herrera and Paulie are NOT "bigger better things"

They aren't. But it's a good fight to start his 147 campaign.

There are far better fights at 47 than Matthysse

    Porter/Thurman/etc etc

Thurman yes! Poerter not so sure!

Garcia's intentions are understandable but it would be a shame for him
to avoid the rematch and instead take on the lower tier at 147.

Danny is taking his illegitimate win and running for the hills. i'm not surprised.

it would look seriously fishy to bring in the repeated low blows, the ref looking out for you, illegal knockdowns, and unjust scorecards a second time.

you go to 147. i just hope you get the treatment that was dished out to Lucas.

lets see what you have to say then.

    "illigitimate"

    Butthurt much?

Nothing was illegitimate about it. He won fair and square.

If this is illegitimate, then Lewis TKO6 Vitali is illegitimate too.

    :deal

    Garcia 115-111 Matthysse
    Garcia 114-112 Matthysse
    Garcia 114-112 Matthysse

    :deal

I think not giving Lucas a rematch after a close competitive fight says all there needs to be said about Danny and his confidence in a rematch.

Lewis retired after, he didn't go on to fight someone worse.

Garcia's win over Matthysse isn't illegitimate but there's a reason he is so against a rematch.

Exactly. Same reason Khan won't rematch Maidana.

Doesn't matter whether he retired or not. That's not the argument

People are complaining that it wasn't a "legitimate" win. :rofl

He's going up to 147 for the better fights/paydays.

He beat Matthysse very clearly. It wasn't wide but it was clear.

If all close matches warrant rematches, we'd never have fighters with different opponents.
