You just don't get it. What happenes in 2013 does not carry over to 2014.

    New year.

Because k2 approved of the fight and went along with it. Bontey has a very close relationship with the WBO. The WBO can't enforce an opponent like that an a powerhose like K2. Open your eys son.
He didn't 'refuse' to fight Pulev. He was fighting Pulev untill he got a better offer against a better opponent for better money and better expousure.

Beating Haye would of earned him the #1 spot with the WBA and a top 3 world ranking.
If you have a top 3 world ranking and Ring ranking that automaticaly makes you a challenger to Wlad.

Boystov flat out refused to fight Fury and Chisora yet he was being handed a shot on a platter because he is useless. He was so bad he lost to the fall guy brought in to give him the win.

That is the type of guy Wlad was lining up for a fight and all ya'll think he doesn't want Leapai.:nut:patsch

Get k2s nutts out of your mouth and wake up.

I'm 95% sure it's based on one "calendar year" as in, not "2014," but from the time the last mandatory occurred.

I know that's the case for some of the belts. Perhaps the WBO is not the case...

    Def.

Wladimir is above the belts. He doesn't need them so why? Drop the WBO.

Yeah, the only difference is Pulev's team has been the one to hold off. They know the purse splits are set and Wladimir has all the leverage unless he can put himself into the position of Haye or Povetkin, the only two examples of a recent Wladimir opponent making crazy big money.

So you're saying Pulevs team told Wlad and the IBF they didn't want to take the fight yet they are still in mandatory position.

    You can't be serious.

Fury avoided Pulev, simple as that. If he fought and defeated Pulev, he would have become the mandatory challenger. If he was to defeat Haye, he could have maybe earned the #1 WBA ranking, but not the mandatory challenger spot.

Of course he went after money. It was supposed to be a win-win situation. Win or lose, he would have earned a lot of money, plus he would have been very near to the title shot if he won. Also, he would have become a bigger name and that would mean even money against Klitschko. But Haye can obviously be very tricky and Fury just experienced that.
