Angulo applies more pressure than GGG does and more relentless despite having less power. Angulo was able to actually stop Rosado in 2 rounds and not get a corner stoppage after getting a pizza face like GGG Lara needs to step what up? he beat Trout, Angulo, Vanes(robbed), Williams(robbed) and a draw with Molina. GGG needs to step his game up
Yes GGG does need to step up his competition but people at least want to see him fight. I can't see GGG, Mayweather or Alvarez ever wanting a fight with Lara with his spoiling style. I can see a Klitschko vs. Povetkin type of stinker happening and none of the top guys really need that in their careers win or lose. To each their own but I and many others find Lara boring.
So when you say that you hear Ward is available, you're just talking out of your ass. Pretty convenient time for Ward to talk about who wants what fight when he's going to be tied up in court and out of the ring. If Lara wants to fight @160, he's got Quillin who also fights on Showtime. I wonder why Lara doesn't want to talk about a fight that can realistically be made? I guess it's easier to just play the name game on twitter.
Hasn't Golovkin and his team talked about fighting Mayweather, Quillin, and Alvarez? Those fights are even more unrealistic. Fighters are always gonna call out the bigger names. That's just how it goes.
If you're happy with Golovkin staying @ 160 fighting BUMs, STIFFs, TOMATO CANs, No Hopers and NEVER WEREs then that's fine by me. It only inflates the Golovkin myth that much more for the inevitable let down. Sure, Golovkin's handlers don't want him to move up because it's that much more easier to protect him @ 160. Again, what does Ward have to do with the FACT that Golovkin is being protected?
Or it's just easier to talk about a fight that probably won't happen. Lara is just playing the name game and you idiots eat this **** up.
Lara & Quillin make a little under $300k each and right now Lara doesn't have many options at 154lbs not named Alvarez (who's in no hurry to fight him). Erislandy could just be talking to get his name out there, or maybe he wants to take a risk and make more money & fame. Despite his hot win streak, he was never even brought up by his promoters as a possible opponent for Floyd, despite having the same manager as Floyd. Shaeffer has made some of the same comments about Lara that Arum have made about Rigo. Then there was the whole weight controversy against Angulo. Lara was told he couldn't weigh more than 164lbs and Angulo came in at 174lbs. He knows he has limited options under the status quo so he may have to take a risk. GB can lend Lara out to fight on HBO, they pretty much did when he fought Vanes.
He cuts it off well but he dodges and slips his opponents punches which delays his offense, whereas Angulo just stands there getting hit trying to hit homerun hooks Yeah, Lara isnt a middleweight so he probably wont have the power to get Golovkin's respect so Golovkin might try and walk through him It could be like the Bradley situation for Lara, Bradley went to war with Provodnikov he will never do that again, Lara got caught exchanging with Angulo and turning him so he can learn from them mistakes and not make them in a GGG fight
I love this fight. I see Lara hitting GG at will. There will be a size difference, but GG is always used to that. If Lara can pack on the weight correctly, he has a big chance to ko MADD Magazine face.
Who are you suggesting GGGs being protected from, Lara? The GBP 154er whose just decided to call him out? Sergio Mora - beaten twice by the almighty Brian Vera. Perhaps you're saying he's being protected from Maravilla? Sturm? Geale? Wait... you're not implying that Golovkins being 'protected' from Ward are you? Protected from the P4P#2 champ of a higher division? I see. Nah...as long as GGG hasn't, one way or another, actually proved himself to be the top dog at 160 (or failed in the process) I think you'll be waiting. And FWIW people are saying they'll fight him; Geale says he will just not this date, Lewcowitz said Maravilla wants Cotto then GGG only a few months ago. Fights like Maravilla or Sturm (in Germany) would earn him more than anyone except the very top names at 168, and there's no more guarantees he'd get those fights than the ones he ain't gtting at 160
Fight can't happen as long as Golovkin keeps on his "Bum of the Month" tour. Call me when he fights somebody with a pulse...
This guy could barley handle a Angulos power a guy that spars with Amir Khan :rofl?..Last time I heard GGG is having trouble finding sparring partners under 175 to sparr him 16oz gloves :deal Ps: Fights not happening and Lara knows it because of the ongoing network war
