    That was as a challenger.

Moruti Mthalane was to make $8,000 for a title defense in his opponents' home country, somewhere in Europe (the other party backed out of the fight)...

What kind of BS is that $2,500 for the challenger, this was IBF title fight, don't blame the challenger for ducking that payday :rofl

It contrasts greatly when compared to other paydays, those fighters are just being mismanaged/robbed

105 lbs, $50,000 for Calderon defenses
108 lbs, 1 Million each for Carbajal and Gonzalez, but thats Bob Arum

I'm sure that what Broner offered Burns & Vazquez when they ducked him. Both said it a bull**** offer and Rees was paid a lot more than they was offered.

The Mthalane one was against Olteanu in Germany.

In regards to Takayama his options were limited. The JBC didn't recognise the IBF so he had to travel for the belt.

VERY interesting character is Takayama and a true throwback.

There was an instance in a minimum weight title fight were both guys made under 5 K each. It was actually closer to 2 K.

    Stay in school kids...
