It would go along way to helping the fight get made. But how come Proska, Stevens, Adama and likely Andy Lee don't have to beat a World Champion to get the Golovkin fight?
Cos they are already established MWs and fighting on the same network makes the fights far easier to puy together, perhaps?
They fight anyone because they are used to do it back home, there's no fear of losing and they want to be the best...
Why did he have to fight Quillin? He is the top dog at 154 and ggg is claiming nobody wants to fight him, here is a guy that has a belt and wants to fight him...
Because HBO has no reason to approve Lara, a Showtime fighter, if he's not bringing a middleweight title to the table. Unfortunately, it's a catch-22. If Lara wins that belt, Golden Boy wouldn't risk him losing it to another network (and promoter), just like how they've handled Quillin.
I would love to see the fight. Now people just have to work together to make it happen. Golden Boy promotes Lara and they won't give him a fight with Alvarez. So maybe, just maybe they will ship him to a fight with GGG. Lara can call out GGG all he wants and I'm sure GGG wouldn't mind fighting him, but it's up to promoters to stop being stupid and make it happen.
do you know why perro got to Lara twice? is well known that Lara was setup to lose that fight, the ring was smaller than my bathroom, Lara couldn't gain more than 10 pounds after the weight in, perro gained 20 pounds the night of the fight, God knows how much he weighted when he entered the ring, the mat was very slow and to top it off they couldn't cool down the Cuban in the corner, some bs rules, now just think about all those "little things" and tell me if that was a fair scenario...
These couch warriors have never been in a ring to know that these things make a huge difference. Look at the Lara ring and compare to what Canelo got. Lara was being set up to lose so Angulo could fight Canelo. Lara beat him and Canelo fought Perro anyway. People are too clueless to see the truth. It was planned out.
