Any opinions on the matchroom card in Hull on the 22nd Feb?

2 British title fights - McDonnell v Wood and Woodhouse v Hamilton , Coyle, Campbell and a run out for Zak Collins who I really rate

its hardly HBO PPV but i will be there anyway

i wish they would step up Campbell quicker, it seems to me to be wasting time fighting guys who have zero chance laying a glove on him

I tend to agree, if he was a young ie/ under 25 and had nothing more than a mediocre amatuer pedigree then no probs but he is the polar opposite from what I have mentioned and therefore should be able by now to be pushing for opponents with a half decent record

he is a local Hero and whenever i have mentioned he needs to be fighting a better class of boxer i have been shot down with the ' he is learning the pro game' etc....before he knows it he will be 30 and yesterdays news. i also think boxing levels below his ability will only drag him down.

he needs to be British champ this year

poor card in my opinion, would have beend a good one back in the old Frday Fight Night days when we were getting a show every week on Sky but on their current model its way below par.

Completely agree. The card is certainly not awful but it isn't good enough if we are only getting one show every 3 weeks.

    Mcdonnel vs Wood

Has Gavin got the potential of his brother?

I dont see the problem with it...these cards are usually the most entertaining.

If I was paying extra then I'd not be too pleased, but these are like Friday Fight nights which I used to love.

Looking forward to watching Curtis and hope that he can fulfil his dream of being a British champion. Cracking story.

    Who is Coyle fighting?

I used to love them too but thats my point, I'd be happy with this card if we were getting boxing from Sky every week but we are not. It was them and Hearn that went down the route of less but bigger/better shows.

Tommy is fighting Daniel Brizuela, Argentinian with a decent record lost 1 I think although the level of opponents are questionable. Should be a decent fight.

I really like the Woodhouse v Hamilton fight although I'm not expecting it to be a classic especially with Hamiltons fighting style.

It's a fair card with 2 British title fights although I would have like to have seen someone like John Murray added with a fight against Flanagan to raise the cards profile a little.

It's boxing and it will be decent fights, would you rather have bigger names in poor fights? as has been happening.

Of course we want to see big names in big fights but that cant happen every 3 weeks....These cards are fine providing there are bigger and better ones.

Next one is Burns which will be a bigger one?

No but I'd ratyher have a bit of a mix to be honest (especially as we are only getting roughly one Sky show a month)

I agree its not a problem was just pointing out this is actually one of the weaker cards. Some people think its only Frank ****** that puts on weak shows.

Weak in names but potentially better fights! Agree they both put on weak shows, they both talk crap.
