Look at them. Duran's about 5'6 maybe 5'7 Floyd's about 5'9 and has a longer reach. you don't have to believe me, just look at them. I just went on to box rec and Duran is listed at 5'7" and a 66 inch reach and Floyd is listed at 5' 8" with a 72" reach.

Ok. But me fcuking myself has nothing to do with you being an idiot. That theory is just plain stupid. So if you really have been watching boxing since before I was born, how are you still so moronic? Aren't you suppose to as you age, get smarter?

No but no reason Floyd can't do what Duran did, is there?

Lot's of fighters have fought dramatically bigger fighters and won. Toney fought Holyfield, Roy fought Ruiz, SRR started at welter and fought for the light heavy weight title. Hearns started at welter and fought for the cruiserweight title.

But obviously nobody but me thinks Floyd has the ability to do the same and one guys even being a complete ******* about it. Hey at the end of the day it's just my opinion.

Why is what I'm saying moronic? The name of the game isn't protecting your "0" or it never use to be. The name of the game is pushing yourself to the limit and seeing how good you really are. That means you should be fighting fights you're not suppose to win and finding a way to win. Not to keep comparing Floyd to Duran, but when Duran fought Barkley, almost nobody thought he could win. But he did. When Roy fought Ruiz, Ruiz was considered too big for him and many thought he would loss, he never. When Greb fought Tunney it was a given he was too small, but he beat him once out of three times and let him know he was in a fight when he lost. But I guess I'm being nostalgic about the whole thing.

Times have changed and people are happy to see Floyd spar some jr welterweights. Sorry for asking more out of the guy, but I think he can deliver more.

Qawi was about the same size as Duran but he certainly was much bigger than Mayweather. Sometimes height and reach don't tell the whole story.

pedjr cant even measure up against pac's accomplishments, what more of duran's.

now pedjr is set to fight another berto.

concaine will now magically transform into undefeated, young, hungry lion fighting at his most comfortable weight.

    just wathc the *****s.

Mayweather would rather retire than take a quarter of the risks JMM has during his career

In this case it does. Duran's thicker in the middle than Mayweather but not in a good way, Duran would fluctuate between 147-190 which is why the second SRL fight gave him so much trouble, he had to loss about 40lb for the rematch. Mayweather has a 6in reach advantage and a height advantage so to me he's slightly bigger than Duran.

Or it could mean you're that much better than everyone else and you have to go up to absurd weights just to have a chance of losing.:deal PBF has moved up 5 weights and the ring champ in two weights at the same time he doesn't need to move up anymore "to challenge himself" as you say he's already done that enough. The man is 37 and still on top his longevity skills and resume speak for itself.

I never said it wasn't about testing yourself. But to say he has to fight at middleweight is ridiculous. Obviously it would enhance his legacy if he fought and won there but he's a small welterweight. He can't even make the 154 pound limit. So for the people who will only respect him and treat him as an ATG if he fights at middleweight, IMO is stupid.

And I'm not positive, but I think Jones was a favorite against Ruiz. I'm not positive, I'd have to look into but I think he was a slight betting favorite.

I will take the contrary view and feel that Duran was able to carry the additional weight better than Mayweather would have. The fact that Duran walked around a lot heavier than Mayweather would seem to indicate that Duran was naturally the bigger man.

ya dude, if floyd wanted to fight the weakest belt holder he could easily go all the way up and win title after tirl but you are asking himto fight some of the top5 p4p fighters who are naturally 3/4 weight classes above him.

floyd is a natural 140 lber, that was his best weight and he could have stayed there forever if he didnt build his body UP to WW with all added muscle to chase the $$$ and glory. now that he had built himself into a real WW going back to 140 (natural weight) he would have to cut the muscle he built.

so taking him a real decade to buid up to WW you want him to fight the best MW since hagler, and a much more dangerous MW than hagler due to his power and technical ability.

in the ring floyd is a JWW, sh!t he would be the smallest JMW in the workd. name 1 fighter at JMW that comes in under 150, just one

Exactly. Just because he's so much better than everyone at 154, these people try to turn that into "he needs to fight at Middleweight to cement his legacy" which is straight up ******ed. Guy can't even weight 154 but now he needs to fight at 160? Crazy talk. These people just want to see him lose. That's it.
