Maidana couldn't KO Alexander, Broner or even Khan. He also has no chance.

Im not saying he deserves the fight, he doesnt. But from a business standpoint, and a tuneup standpoint. I think he will do well, and i think he'll do better in the fight too.

You're fcking ******ed to Think Maidana can win it "with punchers chance"

    lmao.

If he takes Maidana then the plan ALL ALONG was to cherry pick Maidana. They just used Khan to market the fight for them.

That should be a credit to Mayweather, at age 37, than it is a discredit to Maidana who is a fine boxer and champion. If anybody else were to fight Maidana at 147, including Pacquiao, there would be zero complaints.

Fact is, Mayweather would be favored over any fighter at 147. Period. That includes Manny, who wouldn't be given anything more than a puncher's chance either.

You can only ask him to fight who is available, and Maidana is clearly the most deserving choice. The only other two belt holders are Porter and Bradley (signed to fight Pacquiao.) A fight against Amir Khan is completely unacceptable in my opinion.

pretty much sums up maidana's chances... i like the guy but he brings nothing new to the table... nothing that floyd hasn't seen and if those two fight it's going to be nother shutout , not sure why so many are eager to see it... might as well re-watch the guerrerro/canelo vs mayweather fights and save on the ppv money

If either Khan or Maidana does anywhere near a million buys it only proves that Floyds fans are f*cking idiots. Floyd can't be faulted for that because ANY fighter that was in his shoes would do the same so don't direct hate at him. Blame the idiots that pay for it. I don't like it..but I'm not spending money to watch him either.

Pacquiao is fighting Bradley again, and it was always going to happen. There was never any doubt about Manny's next opponent being Bradley in April. Just stop.

I agree and I'm not trying to discredit Maidana, he's a warrior and he's done well with what he has but if he can't stop Alexander, Broner or Khan then he you can guarantee he isn't stopping Floyd. I don't think Maidana has any chance to win and I don't think he will make for an entertaining fight but we'll see...

Agreed. But you got to admit, at age 37, you never know. Father Time is undefeated, and all it takes is one good punch to show Floyd doesn't recuperate like he used to as a young man. Granted this is unlikely, but Floyd is at that age in boxing where anything can happen.

I'm just glad the guy who deserves the shot, is getting the shot. And that is Maidana.

well based on the amount of flak amir khan gets for having a glass chin i would say it suggests he wouldn't even be able to hurt floyd mayweather

Khan and Maidana both would. Khan is faster but not really any more accurate, while Maidana at least knows how to utilize timing and set traps (as with Broner).

Of course. Pretty much everyone struggles to land on Floyd but Maidana struggles more I think because he's slower as well as inferior to Floyd in terms of timing, intelligence in the ring etc.
