Until Wood beat Mundine he was only a rugby player who didn't belong in a boxing ring.

When Wood won he became the first Aussie fighter to beat a Mundine in 140 fights.

 

So landing 1 fluke punch all of a sudden makes you belong in the boxing ring?

Geale is just as bad as Mundne and Green,he talks his fair share of bullocks, the hypocrite .

 

He has long way to go to match Mundine and Green mate. Fact is Wood rightly or wrongly has a decent WBA ranking now and is seen as more credible than when Mundine fought him. Though I would rather Geale fought someone else. Even on a U.S undercard.

 

Agreed he has a long way to go,but he is on the same road IMO

Tony Mundine never lost to an Australian fighter and Anthony hadn't either until Garth Wood embarrassed him. Combined total of 140 fights between them without a loss to an Aussie, and then Anthony got Garthed :yep

Beating Mundine doesn't make Garth Wood a world beater. But it does prove he belongs in a boxing ring.
