Groves v Froch announced tomorrow. BBBOC reject Groves' appeal.

Froch was saying some dumb **** after the fight.
I just figured it was the concussion talking.

 

Alright mate, doubt theres any Boxing fan thats disappointed this fights being made.

 

Hope the rematch gets made... Regardless of the ending, the 1st fight was great non stop action

Froch to stop Groves mid/late rounds....again.

 

I thought Froch would win the first fight and he did but Froch was very lucky.

If this rematch does happen it is because public opinion and the decision by the IBF has forced Froch to take it. Froch was talking Chavez Jr in Vegas, Ward again and even a decider with Kessler. Froch tried his very best to move any conversation away from Groves II but knows if he does not take a return it will haunt him forever.

I have no idea who wins the rematch, you can make a strong case for both. If it is signed I will just sit back and enjoy it. the build up will be amazing.

 

How was he lucky?

He could well have been only 10-20 seconds away from a clean win, and the ref screwed him over.

 

"could well have"... Well if it was any other ref then they "could well have" stopped Froch in the first round, who was unconscious on his way to the canvas. Froch was in much more trouble than Groves ever was...

If the Groves stoppage was the standard then the ref screwed Groves out of a 1st round KO.

I can only comment on what I witnessed and in my opinion and the opinion of many others Froch was lucky/fortunate.

 

If Groves had 30 seconds after the knockdown teeing off on Froch on the ropes it probably would've been stopped. Groves never went for the kill after the KD, wasn't the time either.

I am glad its on.I always wanted the rematch,so not quiet so sure what you mean.

At the end of the day both boxers will do their real talking in the ring.

 

I think Froch will be fairly confident going in to the rematch. He was the one finishing stronger, not Groves. He knows he can hurt Groves. Froch took the best of what Groves had and was still walking through it. It is Groves that has to prove he can 1. Knock Froch out or 2. Fight smart to the end and not get drawn in to a brawl.

This is not a fight that anyone can really call a certain win for either man. I am sure both men will look at the tape and try and iron out the mistakes they made. Groves could be more cagey and cautious next time out and may want to conserve his energy and maybe try and come on strong later, or Froch may be a little more tentative at the start as he doesn't want to walk in to any big shots.

It may not be the slugfest of the first fight, but could intensify deeper in the fight as both guys step it up.
