It's not about who the most viable opponent is. It's about who the most marketable opponent is, in the eyes of American fans. Thurman , despite his talent and maturity, isn't quite there yet... but he will be, with a few more good wins(Collazo, Abregu possibly, Porter).

And people like you gave greater value to Efrain Esquivias' win over Rafa Marquez because you've been clouded by distantly past events.

There is a correct middle ground without being a fanboy or hater, ya know...

    Floyd would KTFO Khan because...

    a) Khan's chin is obviously still shaky, despite what he tells the media.

    b) Amir's too dangerous to carry or toy with, so Floyd would be completely tuned in from the opening bell. Lights Out...

Maidana doesn't bring anything to the table that can really trouble Floyd. Sure, he has a good punch but Mayweather is used to sparring guys like Maidana all the time.

Khan on the other hand, from a stylistic point of view has the speed to trouble Mayweather for the first couple of rounds and make it very interesting. Mayweather also doesn't have one punch KO power that can really put down Khan so Khan will keep on coming - maybe or maybe not foolishly - and that will also make it a good fight,

If Mayweather does choose Maidana, it is purely to appease the Latino crowd in the May holidays but that is all it will be - a purely business related decision.

With Khan I think you will get your money's worth and

Neither fighter should be in there with Floyd, bottom line. Khan would make a more entertaining fight style-wise in the early rounds, but the problem is that he has like a 2% chance of victory due to his lacking power and chin, and that chance is basically Floyd ages a ton overnight or catches a fluke injury.

Maidana's odds aren't much better(to me like 6%) but at least he does have the puncher's chance, will likely last the twelve rounds, and has done more recently by far to deserve the fight as compared to Khan.

Absolute shiit fight. Embarrassing. This makes Wlad vs Leapia look like The Rumble in The Jungle.

Great news if true. Maidana is coming off a big victory and offers a major world title, Khan offers nothing. Khan should look for a decent Welterweight opponent on the undercard if he wants a payday, a free one sure as hell won't come.

Isn't Pacquiao already scheduled to fight Bradley in a rematch?

Why in fuccks name would you hope this is true? This is a worse opponent than that joker Oritiz. It's bad enough Mayweather putting together these abysmal fights but it's something else to see his fans lapping up this shiit.

"It would b an honour to share the ring with @FloydMayweather who will be loyal to his word and to the fans, to fight the winner of his poll" - Amir Khan

    :arran

Floyd is already beating him to a tee and he hasn't stepped a foot in the ring yet.
