    Very few fighters, if any, aren't overrated by one group of fans or another.

    I don't like Dan, but in this case hes right, Lara is being overrated right now in the general boxing world. Still, hes a very good, quality fighter, that seems to be improving, which is dangerous for his division, and he possibly has a bright future. And hes building a solid resume. But he's still overrated quite a bit, imo.

    He has the ability to be the number one fighter at 154 pounds (assuming mayweather despite having a title has little intention of competing at the weight in the future). I see no reason that he couldn't compete with or defeat the top fighters in this division, only one I would shy away from calling Lara a clear favorite over is Canelo and that is a tossup. So in that sense he is not over rated, most casuals have no idea who the hell he is.

    i would guess there are plenty of ppl here making more money from boxing than fat dan. while their (journalists...if u can call him that) jobs may appear to be high profile...i seriously doubt he's in the 6 figure bracket.

    over rated by who? i don't see his name on any p4p lists. he's clearly one of the best at 154...and u could make the case that he has the best resume at 154. how is that overrated???

    he'd beat canelo the same way floyd did. canelo doesn't fight for 3 minutes...and he's not a pressure fighter, he's a counter puncher.

    fat dan always likes to post fighters salaries and what not....someone should post his. i'm sure whatever he makes if far too much for what he brings to the table.

    he's been a shill since day one. back when oscar was name dropping on trinidad...don felix took issue and called dlh's bluff. fat dan took it upon himself to write an article claiming don felix was broke and that was why he was 'talking ****' but the truth of the matter is don felix called dlh on his bull****. oscar wanted zero parts of the rematch.

    i wouldn't doubt his statements of lara being overrated are meant to distract fans from the truth...that he would be a much tougher fight for floyd than maidana or khan.
