You really think Maidana is a worse pick? The people saying Khan would bother PBF with his speed and style IMO DKSAB.

And what does Maidana bring ? Flat footed ness ? Looping punches

This is sad ..Neither one of those guys was a good pick!

So why in the flying f uck do you care who he picks. The simple fact is that in 2014 at WW Maidana is the better fight. I don't understand why people don't see this. Khan is a genius if he gets the fight being 2-2 with 2 crappy wins not at WW.

Don't really care much about either of the two, other than to simply see Floyd box because he's a joy to watch.

Neither of them are good matchups.

Maidana is the better matchup. At least he has a "puncher's chance" (small as that may be). Khan has even less of a chance.

Save me the laughable argument about how Khan is a tough stylistic match for Floyd.

Stlyes makes fights and although it wont go 8 rounds I still see Khan being way more entertaining than Maidana.

age has nothing to do with it...

the kid can box...fight....lead...counter...he's a smart fighter with very heavy hands. definitely a stiffer test than khan or maidana.

pac is no contest, why did he run from a drug test only to take it 4 years later. why did he insist floyd pays 10 million dollar per pound weight penalty?

If anything i believe Floyd did it to rub it in Broners face. Before losing to Maidana there were actually people who believe Broner could beat Mayweather and this is Mayweathers way of indirectly saying to Broner whose your daddy

I hate to say it but if they put Lucas vs Khan on the undercard I would actually get this.

All three are out of their league with Mayweather.

Contrary to popular belief Khan is no faster (that is an illusion from him throwing more combos than Mayweather does; in single punch for punch hand speed he is no faster) and his style would not bother Mayweather in the least. Quite the opposite, Khan would be confounded and embarrassed by much tighter, cleaner, more proficient work of Mayweather and surgically dissected, probably knocked out with a pull-counter right while doing something dumb.

Maidana is, yes, slow and predictable and several levels of skill below Mayweather - who is too smart to ever fall prey to any of Maidana's traps like Broner did.

Thurman, however, is still not proven enough to say he could be the man for the regicide job. His run last year of Zaveck, Chaves, and Soto Karass was very respectable and he showed himself to be a formidable boxer-puncher on the world scene against three very live opponents - but he still has done nothing to suggest he is more a threat for Mayweather than were, say, Canelo...or even 38 year old Mosley. Both of them are bigger than 1-Time, as quick if not quicker, as skilled if not more, and probably at least as hard if not harder punching. Aside from a few moments here and there both of those were dominant 1-sided performances by Mayweather.

Agreed, but he is no worse than Khan.

Mayweather vs. Maidana = guaranteed wide UD for Mayweather.

Mayweather vs. Khan = guaranteed wide UD or mid-late rounds KO for Mayweather.

    :conf

Agreed but who else is realistically an option?
