Will Max Kellerman be fair about Vasyl Lomachenko on March 1?

Kellerman has always been very negative about all the successful European boxers: the Klitschkos, Calzaghe, Hatton, Adamek, etc. He doesn't bash Golovkin, but keep in mind GGG is Eurasian not European.

During Lomachenko's pro debut, both Roy Jones and Jim Lampley were impressed by Vasyl. Roy Jones showed he's a better man than Max Kellerman, by being able to comment on Lomachenko without prejudice.:good

But Kellerman was negative as he always is about Europeans. Max was just interested in trying to prove it wasn't really Lomachenko's pro debut, and in the post-fight interview, he focused on Vasyl's lack of KOs in the World Series of Boxing.

Will Max overcome his bias against European boxers and be fair about Lomachenko on March 1?

The better Lomachenko does, the more Kellerman will feel a need to discredit him.

Because most of the hundreds of thousands of casual boxing fans who tune in will believe whatever he says.

The gullible casual fans will believe what Max wants them to believe: that Lomachenko is an inferior hype-job.

...Except that Kellerman was lavish in his praise of Loma following his pro debut. He may express reservations about Loma's ability to go twelve against a world class fighter who has a history for coming on late in fights...but hell, that's a question that everyone has, at the moment. It's what makes his fight with Salido so intriguing.

Well if you say so, but assuming Loma wins, I doubt that he will have the courage to question the abilities of multiple Olympic/World gold medalist who just won the world championship in his second professional fight.

Anyway, I doubt that a commentator could have such a big influence on public. I didn't watch many fights on HBO though.

Kellerman just looks bad on camera. He has that bug-eyed, nervous, deer in the headlights look about him. Roy Jones Jr. has the right look and laid back personality needed on camera. George Foreman was also very good as is Lampley at getting fans into a fight and effectively communicating the action in the ring. Kellerman is just incompetent and tries to make up for his shortcomings by being loud and obnoxious. You can actually see Roy roll his eyes when Kellerman starts running his mouth about a sport he knows so little about.

Wont matter, because midway through the fight Salido will have Lomachenko in flight mode and he willsee this is a different Level and get the Juanma treatment.

This is true. The minds of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of tv viewers around the world are now being controlled by Max. I am very worried about this myself.

Time will likely prove that Max's comments were on the money.
So far, other than his amateur record, Lomachernko is a no-body who has fought no one.
