I hope not, as much as Maidana deserve the shot more he wont do anything that the last 6 or 7 Floyd Mayweather opponents have done, he'll try and out muscle and rough up Floyd which will be competitive for the first 2 or 3 rounds then start getting hit at will. At least Khan will bring out and out speed which is something we haven't seen floyd deal with for quite a few years. honestly though Khan will have success imo with his speed but Floyd will time Khan coming in and out in straight lines and catch Khan flush in round 4or 5 IMO

 

I personally don't mind a Maidana matchup he's an experienced champ that comes to bring it everytime, and quite honestly the only Welters who should be rated ahead of him is Mayweather and Bradley, if we're going off of what there doing now

. Lara I guess is interesting because he's the next best JMW on paper since Alvarez lost but Lara/Rigo make Mayweather look like Tyson I tried to given them a chance because I love the sport but any fight involving those runners count me out.

Bradley and Garcia are the clear cut best matchups for Mayweather and really the only ones currently I can see moving him up the all time ladder outside a MW Title but Garcia said he don't want it and Bradley is fighting Pacquiao.

The Pacquiao fight at this point is pointless unless he beats Bradley I wouldn't have mind this fight for May just to finally get it over with but currently a win over Pacquiao at 147 won't even be better than the win over Hoya at 154.

 

if khan doesn't get mayweather, brook will be a far more lucrative and less dangerous fight than Lucas, not so much the punch power but style wise Lucas is far more aggressive than brook

 

don't you dare say anything bad about the current heavyweight division :nono

Why would Khan take such a big risk when he's been offered the Brook fight for way more money.

He'd be mad to fight Lucas over Brook. (Though, like Lucas, I think Brook will KO him).

 

i guess it's going to be another 120-108 night. Maidana deserves it much more than Khan.
