The thing is he fought all the top fighters of his era. Im not saying hes TBE by no means but i dont get the arguement he didnt fight the best fighters of his era. he did, even at 36 he fought the best 154 fighter in his prime at 23 yrs old. that says alot

 

Victor Ortiz, Robert Guerrero, Maidana and Canelo were not top fighters. I doubt any of them ever make the hall of fame. I could care less what some crooked sanctioning body had them rated. Canelo may prove me wrong but the others won't.

Cotto was not the same after Margarito (likely) cheated and beat the spirit out of him. Pacquiao then quashed whatever was left of him with a savage beating, so IMO he was done when Floyd and Trout beat him. Martinez (as shot as he seems to be) is seriously going to end Cotto.

Neither Floyd or Pac get any credit for old Mosley. People forget how bad he looked in the Mayorga fight, and also that an un-padded Margo did jack sh*t the rest of his career. Pacs win over Margarito was such a BS fight too. I lost a lot of respect for Pac in that fight. Sorry... I went off topic.

 

Heres the thing, Guerrero and ortiz were top fighters in there his weight class. thats the truth. yea there not HOF'mers but there not ranked below top 10 or anything like some people get to defened there title with.

Cotto hasnt been the same but was a top 154 fighter, this is true. IMO Mayweather fought a way better Cotto. Cotto was barely a year off the bricks when pac fought him at a catch weight, Cotto was a good 4 years of the bricks against Mayweather. Floyd should get more credit and if he beats Martinez then that adds to Mayweather resume if u ask me

Mayweather gets credit for Mosley because he was the champ bro. I know your trying to down play all Mayweathers wins but Mosley was THE WW champ because he beat Margarito. Mayweather gets full credit beating the WW champ 11-1. Pac beat him after a loss to Mayweather and a draw with Mora, less win for Pac, better win for Mayweather...Just be honest here and u know it.

Yea Margarito cheated but in hindsight he was the champ and Mosley took that belt so mayweather beat the champ, how do u think he became linal champ?

Some of you guys keep on saying that Floyd doesn`t take on the bigger challenges but who are they? Please don't tell me that he needs to move up because that is not fair to him while other boxers keep on fighting guys that are moving up or coming off losses. Obviously Floyd can't fight Top rank or chooses not to for reasons only he will now and understand. Anytime Floyd fights and the opponent has some chance of winning you guys all turn on floyd. Sergio Martinez offered to come down to 154 and fight Void, but Void ran. Golovkin said he would go down to 154 but again, Void ran. If Void claims the be the 154lbs. champion, then he should fight at 154.......................

 

He will win theres a big fight at 154. fighting GGG there is not that big because when Mayweather wins then he fought somebody that was weight drained or never fought there before so GGG is irevalant. Lara is a good fighter but thats not a big fight and we all know it. come on farm
