It's a little late to try and rewrite history. The fact is he had the option of making history in '93 and choose to throw the belt in the trash instead.

He'd only risk his belts vs. a smaller steroid user, Evan Fields

 

I saw the title and before I opened it thought "I bet Bowe is making up some bull****" and I wasn't wrong either. Its sad really because everytime he comes out with more crap all these years later it just makes his blatant duck look even worse.

 

Perhaps.

 

Bowe seems to forget he already has a defeat to Lennox, and would have suffered a second one if he had been man enough to face Lennox in the pro ranks.

It's weird because Bowe would have beaten Lewis easy if they fought.

 

He has a facebook profile. I know because I have him as one of my Facebook friends. This post showed up on my news feed today. Poor guy really seems to have lost his marbles, and he keeps bringing up Lewis.

 

I could believe that the idea of thrashing the belt came from Rock Newman, but even in that case it did not look like Bowe was opposing it at all.

And the bottom line is - does it really matter? As said above, Bowe had his chance of making history and he failed. Pity, since around that time I would give him decent chance against LL (bad defence vs weak chin).

 

Sure I read some years back that it was a game of bluff between King/Newman Vs Lewis/WBC and Bowe was the loser.
