G beat rjj in the amateurs. Without headgear of course his chances improve. Rjj may have beaten gman in the pros, but it wouldn't have been by KO without gmans history of using his chin as his first line of defence. Boxing wise, both have a high echelon set of skills and abilities. It would be a close fight without domination either way.
Styles make fights , Benn beat Gerald by turning it into a dog fight. Jones wouldnt do this and I also think Gerald outjabs Roy. I go Gerald UD or Late KO.
1: Gerald fell in love with his power and allowed his boxing skills to decline especially after he split with Manny 2: There were early signs that he might have some form of head injury before he even fought Benn. If Gerald had fought Jones at mw then I would of favoured Gerald
RJJ would have wrecked McClellan had they fought at 160/168. I've watched the McClellan/Benn fight many times. McClellan had power but his defense was horrible. Roy would have picked him apart and stopped him. Way to fast, way too elusive and Roy had a lot of power himself at the lighter weights.
If Gerald couldn't blast Jones out early I Think RJJ wins on pts or TKO ..G. Had issues with stamina from some of the reports I read and interviews with Manny .
had Mclellan of beat Benn, Jones still wouldn't have touched him with a barge pole. he was absolutely scared of the man. Gerald probably would have made Jones twitch on the floor after one shot had he of got the chance to face the glass jawed coward.
He was too much in love with his power and forgot about strategy. Him leaving Steward didnt help at all as well. He would loose to Roy no doubt.
Ha! Come on then, let's have it. Gerald vs Sir Joseph Calzaghe. Give us a breakdown. You know you want to.
