In the ring, I think he did stun Tyson momentarily in the eighth, but no_Outside of the ring, Mitch was on angel dust.

On a side note, did you see that Tyson one-man show? Tyson talks all about his encounters with Mitch.

Mitch was one of those guys that feared nobody plus he was high. Sonny had no remorse and would probably have to beat Green to death. Liston might not lose a wink of sleep over it.

I remember when Foreman beat Frazier I read an article that said he was so big they should have a bigger division than heavyweight, like a super heavyweight division. Also he had already destroyed Ken Norton, who fought Ali on fairly even terms.Course, this was a newspaper and not a boxing paper. He had already been tired out outpointing a much smaller man,Greg Peralta, which didn't escape Alis notice.
The only ones who wanted to fight Liston were the ones who he hadn't already beat, and there weren't many of them.Leaving Floyd Patterson, who virtually had to.He fought some great fighters, none of whom he was afraid of.Except Liston.Regarding Mitch Green, the first move in a street fight is usually a punch. No comparison between his and Listons.IMO.

2 encounters? I know the fight outside dapper fans but never heard about any other altercation, apart from The short clip where Green calls Tyson a homo

they did appear on show together recently in which Green was mouthing off and then hosts pointed out that Tyson was in the audience. All of a sudden Greens voice changed

foreman. the way he destroyed joe frazier & ken Norton - S C A R Y! that was horrific. he was also the biggest of the three and probably gave the worst, clubbing, inevitable beatings to his opponents.

liston was second. he had a scary scowl, brutally knocked out the champion Patterson, was very strong, humongous in terms of reach (most important dimension in boxing IMO). plus, reputation as a bad ass criminal.

Tyson - small guy. not as scary. didn't administer a clubbing beating like foreman. he was an exciting phenomenon in the 1980s that revitalized boxing...made it more exciting again...in a way that no one could recapture since then. consequently, his scariness was overhyped. douglas wasn't scared, holyfield wasn't scared, lewis wasn't scared (if you count this). in contrast, ali feared foreman, foreman feared frazier, etc.

Reading about Liston as a young boy inspired me to take an interest in boxing. Think at least the second fight with Ali was fixed and that he was murdered when he went to talk about it.

The 2nd fight was a fix. The 1st one may have been, also.
I think he was murdered. I'm not sure why he was murdered.

The other encounter...Tyson was outside a coffee shop I believe and having a conversation with a female. He glances over and sees Blood riding his bike across the street. RIght when Mike looked over Blood made eye contact. Sure enough Blood does a 180 and pedals towards Tyson. Mike's female friend tells him to be cool and just ignore Blood. That was it. Something to that affect.

Mike wasn't really small. He was short. So for a short guy to make other grown men, badasses at that, **** their pants...that's saying something. "I intimidate people with my punches."

That's probably it. As another poster stated, Mitch was riding a bike.

But Sonny may not be able to pull it off.Michael Dokes is another one that would give Sonny problems.
