Anne Wolfe always makes JK out to be some kinda' monster that will fight anybody, anytime. Mandingo Warrior and all that ****. With his out of the ring issues, he surely can't afford to be so picky.

    This.

Not only was he offered the fight, he officially signed on the contract only to withdraw 48 hours later. He cited an injury that he later claimed was made up.

If he's going to have that same punk hanging around him in the ring that he had from the Tapia fight, I hope Garcia ends his tv appearances.

Eh, back then Canelo was protected better than Obama. First they wanted him to fight Paul Williams after he looked shot vs Lara, then it was the injured Kirkland, then it was WW Ortiz coming off a KO loss to Floyd, then it was former JWW Lopez. Of course now he's fighting an Angulo coming off a TKO loss.

True, BACK THEN. Angulo gave Kirkland and esp Lara hellish fights its not as if they were one sided. You can expect Angulo at his very best against Canelo.

thats the MO for gbp and canelo

you either have to be coming off a ko loss or multiple losses(mosley) or have no power of a threat to ko canelo(floyd, trout).

thats what will qualify you as a future canelo opponent

In the span of a year, Canelo will have fought Trout(considered the best jr middle at the time), Floyd(the best fighter in the world) and now Angulo(who gave Lara hell) and some of you primadonna keyboard warriors are still whining about the 23 yr old redhead.

GB would like you to believe Angulo is the same beast that he was a few years ago, but I would not expect Angulo at his best for Alvarez. El Perro paid a price to fight Lara like he did, and his face ate a ton of flush shots.
Even before Lara, the Kirkland fight, the incarceration, and being under Virgil Hunter, he's not the same. Those hellish fights have softened Angulo up for Alvarez to look good against.

In addition, just as Angulo was allowed to come in heavier than Lara for their fight, I expect Alvarez to have some 'other' advantages over Angulo come fight night.

Canelo gave him a chance and Kirkland ducked him.

This fight would be brutal. But Kirkland should win, because he has the better skills.
