why is it floyd the champs responsibility to chase paq for the fight ?
in boxing, as long as i know of, the challenger goes after the champ for a fight. but since some of you are only floyd haters and lost you're last argument when floyd is the ONLY one out of the two that attemped at making the fight.
thats fact unless you truly believe floyd "knew" paq would turn all offers down. even far undeserved 50/50..

 

because he tried to do business with Arum in 2012 to make the fight, but Arum did everything in his power to prevent the fight from happening with him trying to avoid Floyd for a fourth Marquez fight, Pacquiao's cut and the stadium BS.

After that ordeal, Floyd got fed up

 

I like how people act like this is some newest excuse Floyd just manufactured, as if all of the bad faith demonstrated by Top Rank over the past 4 years wouldn't cause one to be wary of doing business with them.

exactly, this really goes back way far when Floyd was with Top Rank and Arum stole money from Floyd. And when Floyd left and Arum tried manipulating the media and saying Floyd was ducking all of his fighters.

The latest negotiations they had was just the last nail in the coffin

 

floyd got fed up when pacquiao agreed to his silly blood testing protocol, wonder why. if mayweather can't fight someone based on said fighter's promoter, then he really does not want the fight and never did

It was widely predicted that Arum and GBP/Haymon/Mayweather wouldn't work together in 2009 when the fight was first discussed due to bad blood. If anything I'd say it was the latter group which made more of a good faith effort to get the fight made nonetheless. Or at least less of a bad faith effort, seeing as how they weren't the ones to unilaterally break up mediation and lie about what had transpired (and were also willing to compromise to get the fight made, not just as a result of video evidence revealing a lie).

the same guy that mayweather did business with for 10 years of his career? arum owed oscar money too, that didn't stop DLH from being a grown man and doing business with arum again, which benefited both parties.

if mayweather can't fight pacquiao because arum 'dissed' him then so be it, he doesn't want the fight bad enough

 

And when's the last time Oscar has done business with Arum? And Floyd did try to do business with Arum since then. That's why the judge had to check Arum on him lying
