Floyd Mayweather vs. Amir Khan speculation & discussion

Pacquiao easily wins this poll but since he's fighting Bradley I voted for Lara.

 

Honestly, neither guy would land much.

I'll go with his career average, and say Khan or Maidana don't land any more than 18-20% of their punches.

If he had beaten Maidana at WW and recently then it would hold some merit towards the Floyd fight, but it is just a very good win at LWW 3 years ago. Ask anybody with any sense who has looked better and done more with better wins (actual WW wins as well) since 2012 and its Maidana.

I've said this numerous other times in other threads but why is khan even an option for the Floyd fight?, this isn't 2009-11 anymore. khan is a shot fighter who since leaving Ariza has even worse punch resistance than before.

The fact that you're even rating Khan as a better opponent at Welterweight for Mayweather clearly proves you to be an idiot. Maidana is coming off a shocking victory and is the WBA Welterweight Champion, which adds unification to the fight. Khan is coming off a life and death experience against Diaz(who was moved down to 143) and provides absolutely nothing but his twitter title. I don't know about inbred ******s like you, but to me the WBA title is better than the twitter championship.

& Mayweather? Should just retire and GTFO unless he faces someone worthwhile. Dimwits who pay for these kind of fights might as well just send him money in the post.

All the people Mayweather should be facing are with Arum. He should be active when the right fights are available instead of cycling off his peds (joke) or maybe get that chip off his shoulder so he can talk business instead of acting like gods gift.

 

also dont forget mayweather dosent really look for the ko its not his style especially because of his hand problems too

A couple of things which will bother me.

1) Khan has done nothing to deserve the fight. It's utterly pointless having rankings or anything like that if you don't have to earn your chance to fight the best. Why can't Khan fight a couple of the other good WWs first and fight him next May? Wouldn't be because he'll probably lose to them too, would it?

2) Even if Mayweather does choose Khan, he will beat him up, probably KO him, and on here it will be the same **** you always get. Almost every time he comes up against someone you hear that this guy is different to what he's faced before. As soon as he beats them up, the guys were never going to win.

Mark my words it will be the same with Khan if they ever fight.

What Khan brings to the table is his glass jaw and the hilarious moment when Floyd drops him with a potshot counter right. That's what makes Khan more deserving than Maidana.
