Who ranks highest in the ATG list? roy jones, hopkins or calzaghe.

in my ATG list, resume is the biggest factor. resume for me is defined as wins, controversial losses or "special losses" (losses in close or epic fights against great fighters).

other less important factors are ability (roy jones scores high), i wouldnt argue with anybody that has him as the GOAT in an all-time h2h list.

longevity (hopkins)

total domination of an era (calzaghe)

exceptional contribution in raising the profile of the sport and exceptional contribution outside the ring (Ali)

 

Hokpins. Calzaghe is a HOF. Not an ATG. I couldnt care less how hia dick riding fans feel about it

Here's how I see these three side by side:

1st: Jones - the most pure talent
2nd: Hopkins - the most ring intelligence and technique
3rd: Calzaghe - the most slappy

hagler, leonard, hearns and benitez all beat duran...but duran rates higher then them all.

in a similar way...hopkins loss to both jones and calzaghe...but rates higher than both.

 

much the same way rocky marciano beat joe louis, ezzard charles and archie moore.

joe louis, archie moore and ezzard charles all rank above him imo.
