I disagree about undercard. Theres a big difference to buying a card you can have ppl over for, and drink beer and watch all evening and buying a single fight that has some crappy matches before the main event.

Anyone who knows enough to know Maidana has little chance or would care, has a good chance of knowing something about the undercard fights as well.

Will it be enough to repeat the last fight sales? Of course not. But it will still outdo the ghost fight.

I do agree that most people dont buy to see FMJ skills on showcase

 

You can't fault PAC for staying with Bob and finishing up his career with Top Rank. The fact is the Cold War between Top Rank and Golden Boy goes both ways and if one side is willing to work to end the beef....it doesn't mean the other side will be as willing. Manny is loyal to Bob and trusts him.....why? I have no idea.....I didn't think Bob's own mother trusts him. But Manny has always said he will never leave Freddie or Bob so this isn't a surprise. Regarding the level of opposition he will be able to face under top rank in the WW division.....there will be good fights for PAC.....right now he's facing the 2nd best welterweight in boxing so that's not a bad match up even though the first fight was fairly one sided. To say PAC ducked the entire welterweight division for signing an extension is ridiculous....Manny has one of the best resumes in boxing over the last 30 years. He's faced everyone who had a name in his era outside of Floyd.

 

Pacquiao is just dumb.
GBP was good to Marquez, they were the one's to open up the avenue of big fights to him.
However the one fight he wanted most, GBP could'nt deliver because Bob Arum would not co-promote with GBP.
When Marquez' contract with GBP was up, he did'nt resign, he jumped ship and went over to Top Rank where Bob Arum handed him the opportunity to matchup with Pacquiao.

Marquez did it for more than money, he did it for his legacy.

You would think that if Pacquiao really wanted the Mayweather fight like he say's, he'd jump ship, but he's not.
