Andre Ward "GGG says he'll fight anyone from 154-175, but changes tune with me

Golovkin said he would fight anyone from 154 to 168 in 2012 when they were fighting Fuchigami in Ukraine if I recall correctly. Nowadays it's that they'll go down to 154 for Floyd and the would move up for one fight if it's Chavez. Money fights or big opportunities. And those reasons get less and less important the more he earns and the more popular he becomes (and Golovkin earns much more than the reported purses). So if they don't bring a lot he's going want his fights at middle weight.

Does Andre Ward think that Golovkin would move up to 175 for one fight or is he a ****** like the rest of you? Trolling? Jealous? Why does people keep harping on this?

 

Andre Ward need to focus on unifying the belts...no point of moving up or down...He needs to validate 168 as a division by unifying all belts & becoming first Undisputed Champion of 168

According to ESPN, GGG team told HBO they would fight whomever. If Team Ward has not contacted K2 about a fight, and HBO has not tried to make the fight, how is anything Ward says about GGG fight relevant in this context?

The plan for Team GGG has been to move up to 168 in 2015 for a while now. Its well known they are gunning for a last-ditch effort at getting lineal shot at 160 in late 2014. So why do you think Ward is kinda-sorta half-assing a call out to GGG now in early 2014? Seriously, why do you think that is?

 

How many offers has GGG turned down from Ward's team?
They probably have to get Ward's contract sorted out first, before they have any fights lined up.

K2 makes offers to MWs on route to the lineal championship; the way Loeffler talks, they won't make offers at 154 or 168 because that's not Plan A. They're willing to fight at 154 or 168 if decent offers come their way (such as a potential Chavez Jr fight), otherwise they'll keep that WBA belt at 160 and try to get Sergio.

Why is Andre Ward focused on Golovkin?

If he's so offended by that claim of fighting at 168, why doesn't he tempt Golovkin with an actual offer?

I wouldn't be surprised if Golovkin fights 2 more times on HBO before Ward is back in the ring.
GGG will probably generate 1.x million viewing figures regardless of who he fights.
Ward's ass will still be chapped.

 

Ward desperately wants his name in the same conversation as GGG's. Both team want it when it makes the most sense (when Golovkin beat Martinez) and potential money.

I'm not sure how HBO sees [Ward fighting an E-Rod type once a year for a combined 3M fee with no televised undercard and average ratings] as a viable plan.
