So if he faced someone like Martinez or Chavez, that'd be cool with you?

"Stepping up" at MW = Sergio Martinez

"Stepping up" is not synonym of "moving up"

    :think

I would love to see Macklin's and Stevens' reaction if some internet poster told them to their faces "you guys ain't real fighters, just bums". :hey

Yet I haven't said anything about whites in this thread. You bash me but are perfectly fine with another poster talking about blacks **** off and join Kevin at castefootball you POS.

Macklin isn't anything special. Martinez is legit but old. There's no Hopkins, Pavlik's or Taylor's on GGG's resume if they were I wouldn't have anything to say about him.

I'd be fine with either of those two I even said in another thread I'd give GGG his due if he fights JCC Jr.

So the lack of big names in the MW division makes it perfectly ok to demand that he moves up to SMW right now? It's not ok to chase the lineal MW title first?

Ward has the lineal title at SMW and is out of big names to fight... he should really move up to LHW pronto, then.

Ward can move up if he can get one of these following fights a Froch rematch a fight with Groves or a fight with GGG who has no one of note left to fight at MW. Martinez is fighting Cotto next probably won't fight until late 2014 if that. GGG should move up and face Ward. If Ward moves to 175 now a fight with GGG will never happen.

You have it backwards. Ward is out of opponents, not GGG. Froch and Groves are busy until fall/winter and Ward has nobody else in sight. Golovkin has Lee, Geale, Kirkland, Chavez Jr and Martinez as potential, feasible and viable fights to make on HBO.

Ward and Golovkin could fight at 170 sometime in 2015 and that would be perfectly fine by me. Golovkin is not even a lineal titlist yet, why would Ward want to fight him? What has Golovkin done to "earn" a fight with Ward?

GGG is making a name for himself with his KO streak kinda like what Lacy did? What did Lacy do to earn a shot with Calzaghe who was the man at 168? I think GGG is much better than Lacy but you get my drift.

Yeah. I thought Bute was on a Lacyesque KO streak leading to the S6 Finals but Ward said he hadn't earned a shot to his title.

    I agree.

Ward needs Golovkin, but Golovkin does not need Ward this year now that Geale and Martinez have promised to fight him.

If Ward didn't insist on fighting in California with his shady home referees like Jack Reiss who permit him to headbutt and hit while holding, and if he were willing to move down to 160 or up to 175, he'd have no problem finding fights. Ward demands $2,000,000 + per fight despite his boring clinching style, I wonder how the HBO management feel about that.
