I agree wholeheartedly. Norris had too much class & speed. Gerald was just a brawler. not enough for someone with Terry's class

Norris just wasn`t sound enough defensively to pull it off. He did have speed but so did Gerald who also brought height, range and boxing skills to the table. Not mention atomic power.

they said the same thng before the Mugabi fight, and the leonard fight, and the Curry fight and they were wrong all three times

Mugabi had power and look what happened to him. Couldnt even touch Terry cuz Terry kept beating him to the punch

and skills? u think Terry cant cope with SKILLS?

who had more skills than Leonard??/

and not ONLY Leonard but Curry in his next fight!

Taylor had skills WITH SPEED. Blocker & Brown had skills. In fact, Blocker had more height than Gerald

Those guys couldnt even touch him except for Curry when Terry went flat footed. but the truth of the matter is, when Terry dont want to be touched, HE AINT!

Terry whipped everyone from perennial contenders to 5 time world champions unbeaten in 11 yrs and Gerald just dont stack up against those kind of credentials

in fact if u ask me, Gerald didnt really make much of a name for himself; he is just one more champion in an already crowded field. whereas Terry had a distinguished reign

people just hate him cuz he whipped everyone. that's the problem Floyd has right now

Mugabi, Curry, and Leonard??? Thats the best comparison you have? Three older exposed guys several years removed from their best?

Jackson wasnt exactly fresh as a daisy when Gerald got to him

I know, I'm familiar with his career

How about the Julian Jackson fight? Or the Simon Brown fight? Or the Keith Mullings fight?

Can Norris deal with skills? Maybe, I don`t think he`s gonna be able to deal with McCellan`s punch and Gerald had the skills to set it up.

Norris being too small+ not good enough defensively spells a rough night for him.

Who hits harder? Norris or Jackson?

How could Norris possibly last 12 rounds with gman?

This is a very easy pick.

or how about the Brown rematch where Simon couldnt lay a glove on Sir Norris? the first match was just an aberration, like Hagler slipping in the Roldan fight and having it called a KD by an incompetent judge

its like I said, when Terry dont want to be touched, he WONT!

You have spelled out the foregone conclusion but Rooster is not someone who deals in reality where Norris is concerned.

Gerald is only a couple pounds heavier than Norris or, half a division

I believe Terry would slow Geralds' advances with sharp left hooks to the jaw. to say otherwise points to a grevious error on your part

Terry would then cruise to a unanimous decision with his vast edge in speed to annex his second world title

what do u expect from someone who won every round from Ray Leonard?

Not only doesn`t Rooster deal with reality with Norris, he isn`t dealing with a full deck either !! If smaller Jackson puts Norris to sleep in 2, kind of scary to think of what bigger and harder hitting GMan does with him... Norris is the guy who was stopped by all time banger Keith Mullings and Simon Brown as well. He would try to box and brawl with Gerald... But, I don`t think gets gets out of the 2nd rd...

    Yea.

It`s a good thing this fight never came off. You would have lost a busload of $ betting on Terry Norris.
