We'll never know if Froch would have survived another minute, trying to pass an opinion off like that as fact is silly. What's to say that had there been another minute remaining that Groves would have over committed and Froch KO's him with a counter?

Point is, it didn't happen and we'll never know. The rematch should be brilliant though, cannot wait for it!

I tried to paste a pic of Screech Powers with Frochs head in this thread but couldnt.

Just take a minute to imagine how funny that would have been.

Paper win as far as I'm concerned, Foster made a **** up and I'm glad the rematch is being made.

Unfinished business and lets hope this time, we do get a decisive ending.

i think its fairly easy to assume that if Groves had of got that knockdown earlier in the 1st round he'd have had Froch out of there.

My own personal opinion on the eventual stoppage was the 9th was Frochs last throw of the dice. I personally believe that Groves would have lasted the round and come out and stopped Froch in the final 3 rounds. But thats just my opinion

It's all ifs and buts, but the last two punches Froch throws as Groves is in Foster's headlock looked arm weary to me, I wonder how much Froch had left in him if Groves survived that round

My point exactly. To be fair, froch was winning that round clearly. But the man isn't Rocky, he got absolutely smashed to pieces in pretty much every round leading up to that. And in my experience the nail rarely becomes the hammer. If you know what I mean.

It's actually a while since I seen the stoppage and I saw it last week. It's funny, foster broke the fighters up about 10 seconds before the stoppage and froch clearly elbowed groves on the break. So blatant even Stevie wonder could see it

Lets be honest its okay saying what if this, that or but or even maybes. The fact now remains that we actually get to see what happens in the rematch. Both fighters like it or not have got this fight sorted and confirmed.

Even though it was a very poor stoppage, Froch could of ducked the fight and gone on and fought Chavez Jr. Its easy to say he would of lost face but at the end of the day the record stated he won the fight whether we all think it was a dodgey stoppage or not. I honestly believe Groves was not as hurt as the ref made out with a poor stoppage. Both fighters looked jaded and like they had nothing into it.

The fact the two judges had Groves up by one round is disgusting I had him at LEAST 3 rounds up. I am just excited for the rematch. My prediction is a Groves stoppage. I really believe that Groves has the power to stop Froch.
