Anyone, and I mean anyone who thinks that Lewis could ever lose to a midget, both physically, and mentally like Tyson, either has an agenda against Lennox, or they haven't got a clue about boxing. It would be an easier fight for him than it was for Douglas. Jab jab, right hand, or left hook, or right uppercut. Doesn't matter, the jab would stop Tyson dead in his tracks just like Buster's did, then LL just picks his follow up shot.

I just hope that half witted gimp Azzer sticks to his promise of having me on his ignore list. The moron.

I dont know if I voted on this one but my vote is the same as its always been if I did. Tyson by KO. I personally think Lewis was made to order for a prime Tyson.

Cmon Foxy, your hatred & verbal abuse of Tyson is embarrassing. Too project all denied negative feelings & Dark Side unto one feared & loathe "monster" is a form of pathology. You are not showing much boxing analysis, & clearly whether Tson could win or not you would denigrate him.

To insult all who honestly differ than you is also wrong. Tyson did some very bad things, but there is no good way to know if he raped Desiree Washington.

Anyway your constant mockery totally erodes your credibility.

This isn't an easy fight for prime Tyson. I am a bigger fan of Mike's but I take a realistic stance these days. He will always be the best fighter ever in my eyes in terms of excitement but not 100% sure he would take a prime Lewis.

Lewis is tougher that people give him credit for, he could take a decent punch dispite the two KOs but he took those guys VERY lightly. Mike would have to land a clean haymaker and Lewis would be more cautious in a fight like this. Also to get to Lewis, Tyson would have to avoid an array of uppercuts and right hands. Catching a few of them would make him more cautious himself, leading to Lewis picking him off. Lewis also has tremendous power. People point out Mercer as evidence that Mike would trash Lewis but I don't buy that, this fight just showed that Lewis could war it out and wouldn't cave in, at least he has proved that he can do that, Mike hasn't really had to gut it out to that degree.

As with all match ups like this you kind of sway in your thinking, sometimes I think the relentless pressure of Tyson would be too much, but he would have to be in that same devastating mood he was in against Holmes of something, anything less and Lewis picks him off. Overall though the safe bet for me has been Lewis out pointing him and controlling the fight after a shaky first few rounds.

Tyson had no prime. Unless you think his prime was going 12 with Mitch 'Crack Head " Green or going 12 with jerry curly crack head Tony Tucker. When was this supposed Tyson prime when he was beating world class fighters? Wait it never happened.

Lewis didn't fear Tyson and had a good jab so no version of Tyson could beat a in shape Lewis.

There is a recent & detailed thread of Tyson's competition in his prime, & a great case was made that his competition was pretty good by usual KW champion standards-& slightly better than Ali in the '60's. Obviously Mike did worse when both were past their physical prime, but you will have no way to differ with the itemized list of who he fought & what their record was before & after Mike fought.

You can mock & selectively bash anyone's competittion, & all ATGs fought many bums. Even Green & Tucker were quite telented, despite the constant grabbing of Green. Did Ali have no prime due to many of the guys he faced being past their prime, & Williams literally & figuratively shot before they fought? Marciano a bum because he fought guys past their prime?

No, you triangulate how good all were at the time & do not punish greats because they almost never can fight other peak or near peak ATGs like in the FOTC.

Lewis had all the tools to beat Tyson but in his PRIME mike was a visicous combination puncher with a good chin.this is a tough call but if mike got to him early I believe he would knock him out if it went past 5 rounds & mikes adrenalin started to fade Lenox would put something together & put him away.

Both men were past it when they fought. But I think Tyson was virtually "shot" while Lewis still had some gas in the tank. 14 years earlier at the age of 21, with Rooney in his corner, fully well conditioned, and actively beating contenders multiple times per year, Tyson would have been a totally different animal. He had so much more upper body movement, stamina, punch resistance, hand speed, workrate and skills that would later be abandoned. The hunger aspect would be a factor too.

Its anyone's fight, but I am inclined to leaning towards THAT earlier version of Tyson.

Same fight as when they were kids. Tyson takes the first, part of the second, Lennox has him worked out and dominates from then on for as many rounds as they're both standing, And only one of them will be, which is why he is still the last linear, undisputed World Champion that beat every fighter he fought

To celebrate the inside job that the Americans, Israelis and Saudis did in destroying America's "freedom", I resurrect the thread that started it all here at the place formerly known as ESB.

    Tyson KO6 Lewis
