    Yeah, but Shafikov brings a combination of attributes Vázquez has yet to see, too.

    Shafikov will be Vázquez's third best opponent after Bradley and Canelo (the men who beat him) - while Vázquez will easily be Shafikov's best opponent to date.

    Very interesting match.

    Nah, I think he really is 5'10"; that pic making him seem close in height to Zou is probably just down to angle/perspective/slouching/footwear. :conf

    He was clearly a few inches more than 5'7" Gesta and 5'6" Bradley.

    He's supposedly just 1 inch shorter than Murata as well. If that's some slouching then it's major slouching

    I don't know, man. :conf If he is shorter than advertised then so are many of his opponents who definitely have been shorter than him. :lol: (...and seemingly by more or less the listed margins...)

    I agree the pic throws everything into confusion and he does look shorter than 5'10" based on just that, in comparison with the known heights of the others in the pic.

    Very true but looking at the success Quintero had pressuring him gives me hope. Shafikov is a boxer/puncher on the outside and pressure fighting swarmer/slugger hybrid when he's moving forward attacking on the inside but he alternates pretty evenly and isn't as desperate to spend the majority of the time attacking and forcing things in close like most pure pressure fighters. He'll need greater urgency and committment to pressuring than he typically shows he has the skills just needs the correct stragtegy. The other thing that makes his pressure so effective is his head movement and ability to counter while coming forward im really hoping he can do it. In a sentence...Shafikov needs to go Orzubek Nazarov all over Vazquez.

    Shiming is the real deal, expect him in a do or die fights from now on, he is still 3-0 and taking on decent competition.

    He is moving up competition...expect him in a dramatic fight soon :bbb

    Miguel Vazquez (33-3, 13KOs) was on the mark, weighing in at 134.8-pounds, and his undefeated top challenger Denis Shafikov (33-0-1, 18KOs) was also 134.8-pounds.
