    Ali fights are debatable that's why I put the question marks. Duran was slightly past his absolute prime at LW but the fact that he beat one of the greatest WWs of all time proves that he was still a monster. He was also effective at higher weights later in his career past his prime so WW was not a bad weight class for him. Arguello I don't know what to say he was above his natural weight but he was easily the bigger man in the ring.

    the problem with determining Hopkins' prime is that when he was in his physical prime it wasn't necessarily when he was at his prime from a technical perspective.

    Duran was still really good at WW.

    Why do people say he jumped from 135 to face Leonard? His last fight at 135 was February 1978 against Dejesus. The first Leonard fight was June 1980.

    Duran looked excellent against Palomino a few months before beating Leonard.

    Not necessarily. The greats can overcome and adapt. Reminds me of the example of Ben Hogan in golf actually.

    Pep was still prime enough to beat Saddler in a rematch and Saddler is considered to be an atg featherweight. Truth be told, I don't how much he lost from the accident and neither do you.

    If you've ever had even a minor back injury you'd understand the toll that they can take on you day to day, nevermind a major injury like a broken back when you're a top level athlete fighting an atg featherweight.

    Its not possible for anyone to be in their prime coming back from that type of injury. Its a testament to how immense Pep was that he could pull off a win like that after his crash. Lets stop trying brush it off as nothing.

    Slight difference in the level of physicality needed for boxing compared to golf though.
